Does anybody know if the GT350 has the Hill Assist like the GTs do? My girlfriend swears by that in her '15 GT manual how much she loves that feature. So just wondering as we are starting to compare the interiors and such. I don't even know if this one has the cool lighting inside that you can change colors.

The cool lighting is not in the Shelby. Not sure about hill assist

Well that sucks. I know the GT350 is more a race car and for the track, but the more and more I look at things under the microscope the better the value of a GT Premium with PP is IF and ONLY IF you are not hung up on the 5.2 (which I sadly am) and not planning on it being a complete track car IMO of course. If it doesn't have this hill assist, I might just ask my Ford dealer if I can apply my credit towards a 2017 GT and have a good time with that. There's a lot more value that route and cost savings compared to the Shelby, which I just want for the looks, nostalgia and of course that engine/exhaust. The Shelby does have those shift lights, which are pretty rad.

Shelby is a different category of car. If you're basing your decision on color of interior lights and hill assist then it's most probably not the car for you. The depreciation is no where near the same as GT either.

I completely understand the depreciation factor. It's just that "I" would expect the basics of a GT premium to at least be included with the cost of the $7500 tech package in the GT350. I gotta lot of thinking to do. I am sure if and whenever the GT350 I ordered ever does come in the dealer would have no problem selling. I'm just wondering now if they will let me apply my $2500 deposit to a 201 GT Premium with PP where I can just replace the exhaust and be on my merry way :-)

I'll hold out until anybody chimes in about the hill exhaust though :-) I just was looking at window stickers on 2016 GT Premiums and they make no mention of this hill assist my gf swears by.

The hill rollback assist is standard on most everything now. I'm sure it has it.

Hill Start Assist is standard in all Mustangs according to the Owner's Manual (it doesn't state "if equipped" anywhere). My 2013 Boss has it. Safe to say it'll have it.

Ugh, another "solution" in search of a problem. Please tell me this can be permanently disabled (something that only has to be switched off once). Never driven a car with this and it seems like it would be irritating.

Not irritating at all!

As a long time manual driver I didn't even notice it until someone mentioned it and I deliberately tried it. I love it but admit it is making me lazy! You can shut it off but why? It's like the people who shut off traction/stability control for thier daily drive then complain when they end up in a ditch on a cold morning.

It's a pretty nice feature, but I could not care less if the GT350 comes with it. Least of my concerns. Not buying this car for creature comforts

It's not irritating at all, and if you ever drive in a city like San Francisco, it's life-changing... okay, perhaps just clutch-saving.

It can be disabled through the driver assists menu and I'm pretty sure the setting is sticky though I've never turned it off.

Very irritating for me. Turned it off on day 3.

I noticed the audio package is not the same as the GT premium in the GT350 tech package. It only has 7 speakers to the 12 found in the GT. Again I know this is not what people are buying the 350 for. I understand I'm the minority here. I guess I'm just looking out for value in what you get in a GT some 30k less than this.
