I think the key is the goldish looking piece in front of the bulb. Like I've said, I can get to it but don't have the hand space for me to get a hand around it..

I'm going to tackle this tomorrow if I can get motivated. I hate taking bumpers off the first time around. ;)

Good news - you can get to the bulb from the wheel well.

1. Jacked each side just high enough before the wheel lifts to get as much room as possible in the well (removing the wheel would make this much easier, I was lazy)
2. Remove the front 5 or six pins holding in the well liner
3. Remove the dust cap from the light.
4. You'll see to wire half loops near the bottom of the lamp that hold the bulb in; these need come out and then up. I found it easiest to loosen the screw at the top.
Bulb in place:

Bube removed. You can see the two wire loops/ on either side at the bottom

5. Carefully pull the bulb out and unplug.
6. Insert new bulb and repeat in reverse.

Total time: A little over an hour with discovery and a brief heart failure when I though I nicked new the new bulb wire. ;)

Can it be done with jacking up the car?

If you think you can get the wheel well liner out and your arm in there without jacking or figure out how to do it from the engine bay, sure. ;)

You may be able to do it by getting the liner loose and then turning the wheel all the way to give yourself some room to work.

Thanks so much for this. I tried to do it from under the hood and cut up my hands something terrible! Gonna give it a shot your way in a few days.

Can you provide photos and/or videos of the new OSRAM's in your Stang?

I'll get a vid, but it's going to be hard to see a difference w/out another car for a side by side comparison.

I'm actually interested in seeing the Projector Lens cut off and the color change @ the cut off.

You understand? If you put your stang up to a wall or garage door with the HID lights on you'll see that where the light cuts off there are different hues of blue. This is caused by the projector lens. Just wanted to see how much the OSRAM's effect it.

Are the OSRAM's pure crisp white? How were the stock bulbs?

I did the install back in February, stock bulb on passenger side, 6000k on the driver side. $10 eBay switchbacks.
