So I've been holding off posting my opinion until I got her up and running but here's my impression so far. Keep in mind I started about 7 weeks ago and it's killing me not being able to make any passes at the track. Running on base tune only to datalog for tuner.

Bought the car new about 9 weeks ago. Had opg's and CS installed immediately and ordered up the twins. 55's with the ceramic bb upgrade. As for the install it is a beautiful kit and for the most part straight forward. I believe the installation manual could be a little better. Few spots that would've made things easier if they took better pics. I made notes, if I was smart I would've sent my notes to hellion to maybe help the next guy. Everything done on jack stands in my little two car garage. Couple quick notes to anyone installing the kit. Buy about 3 times as much as the heat wrap and wrap everything. The coolant mods by the oil filter are a pain in the ass. Here's one of the spots where better pics would've came in hand.

I'm trying to do this right from the get go so also did the following

Fore stage one fuel system
Id1000's
Bassani exhaust 3" all the back
Circle d 3b convertor
1400 hp half shafts
Dss one piece driveshaft

Fast forward and got everything installed. After having an issue getting the tune in the car. (That was a **ck story). Car runs smooth. Did an idle log and got the ok to do baby wot pull. Car felt pretty good so I dove into the suspension and did all solid bushing and replaced everything in the rear suspension. Started back on the datalogs and here's where I'm at as of today.

Car has massive knock. I've gone over the kit multiple times checking for anything that'll cause false knock. Did the fresh gas with octane boost and no luck. Still 6 degrees of knock past 3500 rpms. Went so far as to make a couple of pulls on a dyno. On the dyno knock started pulling 2 degrees. Added octane boost let her run and did another pull and knock was under one. Soon as I left the shop made a pull on the street (same fuel everything). 6 degrees knock all the way through the pull. So I'm obviously getting false knock and believe it most likely has to do with road noise/ suspension. One of the problems is if I can't get rid of the false knock timing will be severely retarded.

I'm going to start putting stock suspension back on piece by piece and see if I can't determine what is.causing it then go from there.

The good........... The one pull made 630 rwhp. Only pulled to 6500 and timing was still retarded so car should do pretty good IF I can sort out the issues.

Goal is to make 725-750 on e85 on a nice safe tune.

I will say all these problems has taken all the fun out of having a new car.

Sorry to hear you are having problems man.

What does your tuner say?

Who is your tuner ?(I understand if you don't want to say)

Have you spoken to Hellion?

I have found their customer service to top notch.

ive talked to hellion on a few occasions and they have been more than helpful. I don't believe my issues now are hellion related unless of course it's some of the piping hitting and that's up to me to correct. This is supposed to be one of the premier kis for this car that's why I chose it.

Tuner has also been very helpful. He's been patient with me and all my questions/issues.

As for the knock it's pretty simple. It needs to be fixed or car will be way down on power.

Denison, I recently installed a Hellion twin 62 kit, Fore return style dual pump, and a 3b. My remote tune from Ken Bjonnes is down right spectacular, my car drives amazing. I'd highly recommend contacting him, $500 will buy you some immediate happiness. His e85 tune will easily make 750+.

No drag numbers yet, but I can tell you that my twin 62 setup would have completely destroyed my TVS setup that went mid 10's at 134. If I had to guess, low to mid 9's at 150+. I've made 1000's of passes at the strip so I'm a pretty good judge of ET/mph, have had 4 other 9-10 sec cars.

I ended up making a mistake with my boost controller, hit 20psi on 93 pump, took out a piston. I have a new sleeved/forged longblock going in now, no reason why I shouldn't go 8's at 160+, I'll definitely be posting up the results.

switching tuners doesn't get rid of "false knock", unless the tuner "dumbs down" the sensors.

knock is knock, if the sensors are picking it up, they are picking it up for a reason. need to find the mechanical issue first and foremost to get ride of the knock
