Yea im gettin the heads checked while they are off. Im going to keep stock cams for now. Jus want to upgrade springs. Thinking of goin with trick flow as some guys around me have used them. Just wanted to get other peoples opinions tosee my thread.http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52488&page=6
Same thing just happened to me .
I am having the block re decked and heads checked while they are off.
I would definitely upgrade the springs and consider cams since you are there.
Do you guys do car labor or parts sales only? While the car is apart we suggest the MMR Billet head dowels, these help prevent the heads moving around on the spring style dowels supplied form the factory. These make a huge difference in the engines ability to retain a headgasket and we use them on applications over 50psi! You can find them here: http://www.modularmotorsportsracing...ge=product_info&cPath=4_30_59&products_id=952
Also, while it is apart, you would be silly not to change the following parts:
Oil Pump Gear
Crankshaft gear
secondary Chains
Chain tensioner reverse bracket
Let us know how we can help!

Finally got the heads back from shop. Machine shop had to take .005 off the heads. I did order the head dowels and i went with the trick flow springs.Nice.
Did the heads need to redecked?
And did you get the billet dowel pins MMR was talking about ?
What springs did you end up with ?
