Finally got the heads back from shop. Machine shop had to take .005 off the heads. I did order the head dowels and i went with the trick flow springs.

Might want to check rods too .

That's why I am going to quit beating up on my cars at the drag strip once they are back together .
I may run them at least once just to see how fast I can go but no more chasing PB and I do not run competitively /grudge race .
Too much money to risk now .My goal would be have a fun street car.I may seek if I find someone who wants to pay for a" race car ".lol
I think to have a "race car " You need to have "bottomless deep pockets" , a race shop or least the mechanical skills to fix stuff when(not IF) it breaks.
Me ,I have none of those things, so I figure time to quit before the cars bankrupt me !

Best to wait on a GT 500 that comes with 750 + from the factory and a warranty .
Demon /hellcat fit the bill but I bleed blue !

True talk !
I already have 3 human kids including one just starting college .

Another reason I can no longer afford to full around and break stuff on the 3 mechanical ones (kids) .

Got the car back together last night. Took forever to get the right head gadkets. Car runs great. Had an issue with air pocket in the coolant and one of the coolant lines was kincked. Got it all figured out and ready to make a few tests

since the machine shop had to machine the head down i had to get a thicker gasket. Anything thicker than .040 is special order.
