catless LTH do basically nothing for power so the tune can come after. Plus why bother with an initial tune round-trip that accomplishes nothing?

Install headers and any other performance mods that you may be considering and then tune it.

Mods then tune for said mods. Tune for e85 at the same time if available in your area. Completely different vehicle at that point.

A tune on an otherwise stock car probably won’t make any more power anyway.

install the headers, then tune.

What kind of power gains are coming from LT? This is my first s550 so still learning jwat works and what doesn't vs my 2014.

not sure why you would want to have to go through the hassle of retuning.

LTH without forced-induction does nothing. E85 makes a difference but you don't need LTH to see those gains. Basically it's a complete waste of money unless your goal is unbridled noise or a change in the timber/tone of the noise. Which of course mufflers influence heavily as well.

Or you LIKE the stink of unburned gas and other nasties the CATs take care of.

Things like a CAI, mid pipes, and axle backs are all great complements for a car with LTHs. If you do decide to go that route, don’t forget to tune for E85 and really wake your ride up.

Just do everything and then get it tuned after the fact. Yes you can do it in increments and get revisions but if you’re outside a certain window (depends on the tuner) it will cost money for a revision. So plan ahead, get the parts installed then let your tuner know what mods you have so you can kill 2 birds with 1 stone. If you need any help please let us know.

If you have the part already it makes sense to install first then then tune.
Usually I'd speak with a tuner first and explain what you want to achieve exactly before buying anything because they know all the options and combos and can recommend suitable parts for the intended target.

I thought cat deletes were good for 10-15 hp? I was thinking there are little gains between cat deletes only and catless longtube headers.

Not everyone is after just gains though. Personally I would never run cat deletes. I would do high flow cats.
