I'd like to add headers (get rid of our awful RHD factory headers) and I know I'll need a tune to avoid CELs.

I see that with any canned tune, they don't seem concerned about exhaust changes. I think I'm right that the tune turns off the exhaust sensor input; is this correct?

So could I buy a tune now (I'm thinking Lund with the nGauge), enjoy the increased power and then add headers later and the ECU will compensate for any increased flow and there will be further power gains. Any flaws in my thoughts?

I am also looking to upgrade headers and get the Lund nGuage. Headers will increase airflow via scavenging effect, even more pronounced on our cars vs the US. I would think you would need a retune.

Following for info

I did what you are inquiring about. I got a Lund/Ngauge tune first then added LT's later. When I inquired to Lund Racing about having the tune adjusted, they stated that they already made the tune compatible for headers. In my case, the only thing that I needed to get adjusted was state emissions related. Not sure about your countries emissions laws. If you have any questions, just send an email to Lund Racing and I'm sure they can steer you in the right direction. Hope this helps.
