Trying to get some information on catted vs. off road header sound. I already have Corsa extreme exhaust which is kinda raspy. I'm looking at SW or SP headers and would appreciate input on how they sound catted vs. off road. From what I gather the cats tone the sound down a bit. Thank you.

Personally I would go with catted. Off-road with the extreme is going to be ridiculously loud and raspy. I have the SW cat back with off-road and its a bit to loud for me. The SW catback is suppose to be quieter than the extreme.

I have catted SW headers to a Borla Sport catback and my setup is pretty damn loud!

The cats do help with cutting down the exhaust fumes that smell terrible.

bbk long tubes to mbrp race exhaust without cats.. it is really loud but i like it and it has a good sound to it.. if i dont want to hear it its easy to shut it up with gear choice.. so far the only time it annoys me is cold start in the garage, its crazy

I got ARH 1 7/8ths Direct Connect 3" to the Corsa Extremes. No cats. I mean at the right throttle % and rpm doesn't always sound ideal but I love how it sounds for the most part. You'll always get some rasp with catless setups but w/ the corsa it doesn't drone. Cold start is stupid loud. My GF was behind me and we went seperate ways on the highway she went north and I went south. While she was on the bridge going to the north section she could still hear me zooming away LOL.

If your ever thinking FI i'd just go catless and save yourself the $. Extremes + Headers at WOT is an amazing sound.

Not yet. LOL. We just had some big expenditures for the house so headers are on hold for a while.

How bad are the exhaust fumes from going catless compared to hi-flow cats? Are the exhaust fumes really that noticeable so that having a catless setup for a DD would be a bad idea?

I'm welding in some Vibrant resonators behind my x-pipe Friday. I will shoot a video before and after. I've been dragging ass this week, and haven't had a chance to shoot any footage with the current setup. :)
