Looking to pick up these ARH LTHs for my 2019 GT convertible. I’m based down in Colombia so I won’t have any issues with regulations from not having cats. Is there any other reason why I would go for catted rather than catless other than regulations? Or anything I should be aware of going for catless LTHs?

Also, I’m looking to put a Borla Switchfire X Pipe on and potentially an axle back active exhaust. Should the ARH headers and X pipe fit together without any issues?

TIA!

Catless will give you MAYBE 5hp.

Tone down the rasp. I’ve got ARH catted with Corsa Sport. It’s pretty perfect to me.
I have LTH catted with AWE touring exhaust. Absolutely perfect!

Between the nasty fumes and volume I would definitely not go catless with a convertible myself.

One of the few pros to catless is it’s much less restrictive so if you’re boosted it can be really important. Otherwise I wouldn’t do it.

That setup is going to be on the loud side. I've got a Borla Touring catback paired with their resonator. It's right at my sound volume limit.

I didn’t think anyone was selling “off road” stuff any longer due to EPA crackdown. I just bought Kooks catted although I have no inspection either. I figured with the green cats I’m covered and legal for the most part and give up ~0 hp and they may take just the slightest edge off the tone.

Awesome. I’m looking for an axle back that retains the AE so I’ll see what I can find. Can’t find a single cat back that retains the AE and is compatible with the convertible so axle back seems the way to go with the LTHs and a resonator delete

Beautiful. Looks like catted might be the best option since things already get noisy with the stock system when the top is down. Want to enjoy the sound but not for it to get intolerable.

Nice. Would you have gone for catless if you lived somewhere where there wouldn’t be any regulatory issues?

Yep, I didn’t even think that I’d be breathing in the fumes when the top is down. Rest of the car is stock and no plans to boost. Will most likely go for catted

On a convertible or a fastback?

Nice. Looks like there’s the option for catless with ARH. You have anything else on the exhaust?

@fez888

Ask @beefcake about it. He gave me a great deal on both.
What a sound. Absolutely beautiful. I’ll see whether I can replicate something similar for the convertible that retains the AE. Appreciate the tip also.. I will get in touch with him!

In all honesty it depends on what you can tolerate. Catless can gain you between 5-8 hp which you can’t tell the difference. It’ll be loud and raspy and if this is a daily I’d do catted just to tone down the exhaust note. My GTO is catless, it’s not a daily and while it sounds sexy having a convo tends to be a bit dificult.

Yes, it is a daily. Seems like a no brainier to go for catted.. especially with it being a convertible too.

@fez888 Mine is a Fastback. I can't imagine what it would be like in a convertible.
