It’s definitely a roll of the dice getting away from warranty work, but it’s the price one must pay to play. I bought my car new and installed LTH, CAI, nitrous, custom tunes for pump gas, flex, E85R and nitrous and a lot of suspension components at 471 miles on the odometer. I hope I’m able to get a lot of life out of it. If not, I’ll build it even better and stronger the next time around. While there are plenty of Ford technicians, who really do care about doing a good job for the customer, there are also plenty, who don’t care to do a good job. That alone makes me not want to deal with a dealership unless I absolutely have to. It’s also the reason why I don‘t worry about warranty work.
When you blow a 30K engine and a 30K trans, you may feel differently. That I why I chose to remain stock. There is more than enough performance/HP to do what I have to do on the track.

I‘ve already been there and done that. Once on a brand new car and once on a brand new motorcycle. Definitely not a position I was trying to be in, but it happened and I dealt with it both times. There’s nothing wrong with those who feel more comfortable knowing they have a warranty in tact either. I’ve been on the receiving end of crappy work done by the dealership before and that’s why I learned quickly to do as much of my work as I can on my own. At least that way I know that I’ve put my best effort into it. I trust me more than I do dealerships and that’s hugely because of the bad experiences that I‘ve had. In the end, it comes down to how much of a risk is one willing to take, in order to reach the goals that they have for their machines.

Understood. As long as you know what you are getting yourself into. Many do it to do it and never realize they could be left holding a very big bag.

Trying to find out if a tune alone will add any noticeable power? My sense is that the car is very well optimized as delivered, but do t want to assume. If you did a tune with hardware changes, what were they and are you happy?
I don't know about increased engine performance in your case, but it will help if you have any auto transmission. The tune will help with shifting etc...

Old thred, and no tune will make the programming ford/tremec came up with for the dct any better. It’s about as spot on as it gets.

Old thread. So what. And the tune will help the auto trans. Do you have one? I do. The tune helped the auto trans. Can't argue with experience.

Old thread reference is simply the original op has long(from 2021) done whatever they were going to do. As far as have one? What, an auto. Yes, a few. OP was referring to the Gt500 they had as was I with the dct and a tune benefitting it.
