considerably cheaper.
Depends what kit... Helion Twin Turbo kit properly done can set you up the same as a Whipple will, it'll run you more potential power once the internals are upgraded etc.

I know of 2 owners eyeing up Helion kits (The smaller turbos, not the gigantic ones).

Fully kitted top spec (IGNORING the exhaust):
Options total:$2,549.93
Grand total:$10,944.93

But that is in the US. Add import tax and VAT and we are way above the cost of a supercharger kit. The labour charges on a turbo install is also much higher.

A Procharger install is around £8200 and speaking to Ford, they are guestimating around £10k fitted (pinch of salt here).

I love the idea of a twin turbo setup and yes big power is possible but you'd need major engine work to do that.

Indeed, i was saying twin turbo's gonna come up way more expensive than the Superchargers ;)

This is something i would like to do nxt year. The whipple seems to be the most popular.Fitting seems very reasonable but like anything prices will increase over time.
The harrop looks like they will only ship to that agent for them to fit and or tune.I'm also interested in the Edelbrock which looks like the same supercharger, looking through the pdf instructions it looks like its geared up for RHD fitment but they supply with an sct x4 tuner.Did i read somwhere they dont work on our cars?

I hope the sct x4 works as I've just ordered one!
It's my understanding that sct lock the tuners to regions i.e. A uk tuner like Lund can only tune on a us spec sct device. In Europe sct have the dreamscience branded tuner that will only work with tunes from EU tune companies i.e. A Lund tune won't work on a dreamscience device. Nor would a dreamscience tune work on a sct x4.

I'm sure Gibbo will be able to put us right as I know he has an sct and runs various USA tunes.

So I'm guessing if you use the tuning device that comes with the supercharger kit like whipple or Edelbrock you email them and you recieve a tune that you can up load and it should work.
If you dont want to use their basic tune and want say Lund it will be through the n gauge.I dont know anything about these devices recieving or up loading tunes etc :headbonk:

you get an out of the box tune with them if you're already tuned by lund or whatever you can go to them say "i've now fitted a whipple give me an updated tune pls"
the canned tunes by the providers are usually conservative go for a proper aftermarket tune after charging and you'll get much more eg roush phase 1 at 675 or whatever it is with a lund tune makes 750+

After some confusion with jegs and lethal saying as far as they know Edelbrock e force will not fit RHD.Edelbrock have confirmed there kit will fit RHD with a little trimming. You send off your vehicle details and they email you a tune which i think is the norm. This is also slightly different to the harrop as this is a % larger. So i would guess this could be installed by a mustang specialists we have over here, whereas the Harrop was linked to one agent/installer from what i could find out.

Am I right in thinking the tunes that come with the US supercharger kits won't work on UK cars?
