From my buddy who has already been offered to drive it: "It will be the slowest lap that car ever see's" LOL
Now that's funny.

then you pop your head out and realize each fender is 5" wider than expected. Or the fact that the cars hips are wider than the mirrors.
Not the car you want to take to a drive through ATM.

First question he couldn't answer was whether or not that system runs off the belt, or an electric motor.
I believe the electric pump for it is located in the rear of the car.

A friend has his delivered yesterday. Absolutely beautiful car. And Ford goes all out on delivery, sending a racing driver to walk through the car, answer questions not only from the owner, but all the people like me asking technical questions I knew he wasn't allowed to answer LOL

The green is stunning in person.

I love it. Eruption Green would have been my choice for my '22 GT500 had I found an allocation.

When I heard that was the color he picked, I was on the fence. Then I saw it in person, and it would probably be my first choice as well.

Now if they offered mystichrome....that's another story!

EG is bonkers in the sun on something with curves, which the GTD definitely has.

Nope. One of the lame cost cutting moves made. But the seat skin they chose sure is Neat-O!

Snowball's chance in hell. Aren't lawyers great?
Lol. You know some stuff. Cheers to you sir.

Just wait till you see what else is being developed (2027?). If you like an engine size that rhymes with jive point door, good things are coming.

I really wish it could rhyme with Heaven rather than jive. Quantity has a quality all its own.

Well, remember when they said the Coyote was maxxed out at 5.2 liters? Its practically a miracle that Ford would consider playing with piston location or stroke in order to grow any further.

Seven would be heaven for sure. But, the 7.3L is a boat anchor.

I’ve mentioned to Tob that it would be cool if Ford would develop a modern 7.0L/427 and used something like that to kick off the 8G Mustang in a few years. That would be awesome

If you take the Mercury Marine SB4 as an example, it's based on an LS7 short block but with DOHC heads. The long block weighs about 50 lbs more than a Coyote long block and it makes 750 HP naturally aspirated.

To be abundantly clear: I'm not advocating a cast iron pushrod 7.3 in the Mustang. And yes I 100% agree with your second statement. I think we were saying the same thing.

Until we hear about an aluminum block for the 7.3, it just isn't viable. Personally, I'm a huge fan of the engine and would love to see it plopped into a drag orientated street version. A modern day Boss 429-like version. It just seems that management has let go of the drag crowd and prefers to offer performance vehicles that are geared towards a track with turns on it instead.
