Now painted. Hard to photograph the metallic sparkle unless the camera is right on the part. Looks great in person!

I started taking the engine down and got stuck at the dipstick tube. Took a few hours to do something else going to retry this evening

Did you get the dipstick tube issue resolved?

Good to hear. I used a 3/8 bolt as the head fit the oil tube recess and made it easy to turn to remove and install.

Pretty much done she starts and runs with no errors. I actually said a prayer before starting the engine - no confidence in my work.

Going to scrub the plastic coil covers and engine cover and possibly paint them too. Definitely want to touch up paint around the hoses when I get a chance.

What is the purpose for this install?
on a 15-17 car these help a ton with oil getting dumped into the intake in specific situations on track. 99.8% of drivers wont encounter that but it I sure did.

I'm looking forward to installing the Ford Performance valve covers on my GT350 to fix slightly leaky VCT seals.

I read on this thread the Ford Performance valve covers use additional bolt holes to hold them down to the cylinder head from the stock plastic valve covers. Are the additional bolt holes already in the factory cylinder heads?

I'm thinking the other bolt holes are there from the factory because they weren't mentioned by others who installed the valve covers, but I wanted to confirm.

If i am not mistaken, the latter plastic valve covers use all the bolts
