Shifters are being assembled and close to shipping.

I'm just lucky enough to know some really good people in this industry. I'm thankful George enjoys doing this because without him the quality of choice in this domain would wither quite a bit.

I have an MGW sight pusher for my Sig. High quality machining. I believe it is the same company.

Edited to add: it appears that it is a different MGW. Either way, I've heard great things about these shifters

There are indeed two companies under the same roof at MGW. One makes hardware for the arms industry and the other shifters.

if only mgw also made a carbine rack for gt350s, I'd be all set.

Question,

I put an mgw in my boss 302 last year and it was the 3rd or 4th version of the shifter for the MT-82...I get that things are always improving, but is there any reason to think that there will be major design changes like the MT-82?

Major design changes from MGW on their GT350 shifter?

Knowing George, he constantly strives to improve. And he tries hard to stay in tune with what the market is looking for. That said, he tweaked this one continually until he arrived at what should start shipping any day now. I do not believe you'd be disappointed were you to order one now. I've been running one for a few months now in my GT350 and couldn't be happier with it.

Just a quick update guys....

Shifters are all ready to go just waiting on getting the install video finalized which should be any day. I will most likely start shipping tomorrow on the first batch of 25-50

Just for curiosity, as I know that won't affect performance, what is the weight difference against the stock part? It looks very well constructed, with great quality and heavy.

It would have been easy to reuse the lower linkage and integrate it with a custom arm/bracket/shift handle in an attempt to try to save money. There is no doubt in my mind that this will happen in this sement. I'm glad George chose to overcome the pendulum design with a single axis unit that is similar to some of MGW's other current offerings instead of turd polishing.

The "Camaro inspired" factory shifter is a low-cost piece that lacks linearity and precision as a result. Is it better than some previous Mustang linkages? Sure, but that is like comparing a Prius to a Yugo. It's a compromise at best. This dual pivot, single axis shifter from MGW starts from scratch with a clean design that does not compromise and is a far better match for the TR3160 behind the 5.2 FPC engine. You guys are going to love it.
