Im running cooper zeon rs3 305s out back, our local track has been closed for the winter so no track times yet, i have a pp car so 1st was already questionable now its useless on the street, as well as 2nd, i get a hard roll into 3rd and similar going into 4th, i will say on the freak 70 degree day we had a week ago, the car hooked up pretty good.
Thanks bro, I'm thinking michelin super sport pilots are my next set. I have the pp and we'll so I know exactly what you mean. Umma install the bmr cradle lockout and urethane bushings and hopefully she hooks up all the way through. With this setup you're in a great position to run low-mid 11's can't wait to hear/see your results

V8 Upgrade

MY 18 V8 upgrade: The 5.2 block, current heads/cams/crank, plus GT350 IM/TB. An easy 470 HP/420 lb. ft. torque. Emissions compliant, off the shelf parts. The 5.2 block offers 4% more swept area, the GT350 IM opens up the top end. I find it interesting that the current 5.0 heads and cams are still pulling hard at 7500 pm. I recall that the UAW contract made mention of expanding 5.2L production for trucks (I think).

The wild card is fuel economy, what changes would be needed to accommodate the larger bore and higher redline, and would this engine crowd GT350 performance?

Who wouldn't pay $1000.00 more for that combo over the 5.0?

Yes by running the stock tb, and ill eeiterate the flow numbers are as good if not better than the gt350 tb, i plan on doing another dyno to confirm if there were any changes in peak power, ill be sure to update this thread with that info

Looking at running this intake manifold with ARH Longtubes full exhaust along with a Steeda CAI sometime mid-March. Hoping I don't end up having surge issues! Thanks for testing this out man!

Yeah man, the best bet to avoid aurge is go with an oem style tb and adapter (oem, bored stocker or bbks 85mm option)

Really? That's not good.
Higgs Boson did you use the stock TB or the GT350 one?

This sounds very interesting, look forward to your re-dyno, if the difference is less than 5HP makes sense to stick with stock TB for better drivability I say. :)

I am thinking:
350 intake manifold
stock TB
stock intake with panel filter

Hopefully the above will still give a good improvement. :)

So stock TB w/ GT350 Intake could potentially yield similar power but no surge?

Correct that is what he is saying as Lund could not totally eliminate the surge in his tune and drivability is most important in my view. :)

sandeale How is the car driving now on stock throttlebody any issues at all no matter how minor? Does it drive better or as good as stock with light to moderate throttle inputs and just typical city and highway driving?

Does it still feel as strong up past 6500rpm?
