We are probably about the same size. I have a small stripped down front pocket money clip wallet so that’s not a problem. I’ve heard that the seat side bolsters flatten/soften out a little over time?
I don't know about that, I've always fit in them since day one when I pulled the wallet out of the back pocket. It's tight for sure, but I'm still sitting down "in" the seats and not "on" them.

I went from a 911TT to just a GT Convertible and I am delighted with that. The only thing I will miss about the Porsche is the AWD in the winter, even with a manual the car was a breeze to drive in the snow. FYI, my wife loves the Mustang compared to the 911. She admits now she hated the 911, I thought it was great but for the money these Mustangs are great cars.

You have definitely joined a rather exclusive club!

I had these numbers jotted down from earlier research before my purchase:

2015: Base=100 R=37 Total=137
2016: Base=5643 R=526 Total=6169
2017: Base=5943 R=905 Total=6848
2018: Base=3745 R=633 Total=4378
2019: According to a call with FP just days ago they're still finalizing the numbers
2020: Base=1960 R=840 Total=2800***

*** - FP announced these capped amounts with the 2020 Shelby enrollment program. Now whether the Heritage Edition will catch fire and cause them to rethink and produce more - who knows?

So the ratio with the numbers we have is approximately one R built for every six Bases...
very low numbers for the Rs...good to know, thanks!

My wife has yet to drive the Mustang but I am sure she will become a believer! I was very close to pulling the trigger on a $90k+ new model 911 before I even knew such a beast as the GT350 even existed. My wallet is very happy switched over:-)

Congratulations ! Beautiful R. I bought mine in August and absolutely love it ! You will not be disappointed. Pay attention to the break in period, 200-500 miles depending who you talk to. And by the way, that is the cheapest price I have heard of on a brand new R. You got very lucky, congrats.

Thanks! I don’t think I would have gotten that deal if it wasn’t Dec 31st:-)

Agreed. It is all about timing and location. If you don’t mind me asking, what was the MSRP of your GT 350 R.

Somewhere around $73.5k.
Yep. You got a great deal ! You have the same spec’d R as me and I paid $ 74,000.00 in the month of august. That is the biggest discount I have heard of on a R brand new. I am happy for you, but at the same time I am a little disappointed to be seeing the market soften on R’s. The same thing is happening right now on raptors because Ford flooded the market with 2019 raptors and now dealers can not give them away. Congratulations.

Congrats on your purchase.

Coincidentally, I drove my GT350 to work this morning--something I don't do more than once a week--and came upon a new Porsche 992 at a light. I was amazed how BIG it looked. They've really grown over the years.

Yes the 992 looks like a 997 that had a bit too much to eat. I just got a free 992 book from Porsche. It’s a really nice leather bound booklet that shows the new 911 and it’s features. I should go back to Rennlist and tell people there I got one just to make some of them spaz out thst they did not.

I hear ya, I think my deal is the exception rather than the norm. Negotiating didn't start until Dec 31st. It is all about the day. I think the values for 2019s will hold up...not sure about earlier models with the gen 1 engines though.

I do see another 911 in my future...probably the 992.1 which is the happy medium for me. The 911 I sold was the na 991.1

Congrats on the R. As a P-car owner here, I also still love my ‘17 R as well. Enjoy yours and that’d be cool if you can add another 911 in the future!
