Btw the hellcat chargers have one longer axle iirc and one smaller diameter axle. I would assume the challengers do as well.

Oil film

Has anyone noticed an oil film on the differential around the axles?
I was taking a close look at mine yesterday and noticed it.
Track pack 3100 miles.I wiped it off and will see how long it takes to return.

I noticed when I removed my Irs assembly that my axle shafts had a light oil film on the whole axle shaft. More like a dry tacky oil film to help keep it from rusting. But nothing wet.

voodooo, how much weight are you saving?

The rear suspension mods are not really removing any weight. The aluminum bushings removed about 8 pounds total from the rubber bushings. The rubber IRS cradle bushings and differential bushings weighed 2 pounds each where the aluminum ones weighed about 1 pound each.

The rear lower control arm rubber bushing also weighs 2 pounds compared to the aluminum bearing from Cortex so that's another 2 pound loss total. I'm also going to use the BMR camber links that will drop 4 more pounds.

But most of my cars weight loss comes from the following:
- Forgeline GA1R open lug wheels and Michelin sport cup 2 tires. Removed 52 pounds.

- GT350R rear seat delete. Removed rear seat belts. Trunk junk.
Removed 32 pounds

- ARH exhaust removed 20 pounds.

- Carbon fiber drive shaft I'd say 8-15 pounds less. ( Still waiting on one. )
- Recaro profi carbon fiber spa seats with mounts -77 pounds.

What rubber is that on those Forgelines? And what size was the rubber? Was curious with the weight compared to stock Ford rims on MPSS rubber. Did you get to weigh the stock tire+wheel combo?
