I love my 3.73 gears, they were awesome when the car was stock. Still a lot of fun boosted but traction is now a bigger issue and I know when I go to the track they are going to cause me issues.

Its the only option that is actually worth the money they charge for it and more! That is exactly why i bought my base gt pp. I would have liked leather option only but its not worth it when you dont want or need other options.
Same here....the leather is the ONLY thing I like about the premium. I want speed in a meat n' potatoes format. No use for multi-colored lighting, puddle pony, etc. Won't help me go faster.

But if I do want the leather when I pull the trigger, I guess I have to get seat covers.

Sounds like a V6 or Ecoboost would have suited you even better...
Maybe I should've just bought a Honda instead? :D

Why do a lot of you folks prefer 3.55gears or 3.31 gears over the 3.73gears?
I test drove a fully loaded PP/Premium and I found that it made first gear virtually pointless. If Ford had offered a better gearbox with more logical ratios to be pared exclusively with the 3.73, then it would make perfect sense. My car is equipped with the 3.31's and even still, I find first gear to be good for very little as I can start the car off in second with nary a protest.

Y'all gotta remember, I come from a time when you got a three speed on the floor and first gear was still good to 25-30mph. ;)

I would've liked 3.55's just to be more on the performance side of things but in all honesty, I'm happy with the 3.31's. I didn't notice much - if any - loss in performance when compared to the 3.73 car I test drove, but I do notice I'm not shifting like a bastard. Also, out on the highway, I'm rewarded with lower rpm's and better mpg. My best time in the TrackApps is 4.9 seconds to go 0-60. I'm perfectly happy with that, too.

I fully understand what GT stands for. It's all about the Grand Touring aspect to me.

And isn't that what the Mustang is all about? It can be many things to many people. I just wish a person could have the opportunity to hen-peck certain options without having to resort to an "all or nothing" deal. Like I said, in Canada, the Perf. Pack was an additional $5000 bucks and yet another $250 if I wanted silver wheels. That would've added basically another year of payments - or more, because taxes.

If I really want to add the few goodies I do want, I might actually come out ahead.

Yes extremely worth it, this is not all inclusive and obviously costs Ford a lot less than this to build from factory, but it puts it into perspective a bit.
Except that negates the market value of the base GT parts on the car (base wheels, base front calipers/rotors, base radiator, base suspension, diff, etc). The center pod gauges and strut tower are the only thing the base doesnt have at all.

The desire for the PP wheels can go either way; it is a love/hate thing for people with the PP. Many replace them anyway.

Im sure there is markup from the resellers on the parts, but not as expensive as it sounds once you subtract the cost of the parts already on the car. I'd bet the difference in price is not much more than the PP option costs if you took them off the car when new and got full list value for each part; discounting install cost if you did it all yourself hypothetically.

I truly wonder if people honestly believe Ford in the goodness of its heart is giving out a gift on the package price as a "deal." Corporations exist solely to make profit. They are charging what the increased parts from the base cost. Ie. if hypothetically the base parts cost $2,000 and the PP cost $4,500 then you pay the $2500 as the "package"

I've never regretted going with the pp. The only thing I didn't care for is the spoiler delete. I'm still debating what spoiler to go with but now I'm finding myself actually liking the delete look.

Probably should have gotten a "true sports car" and got a Miata...

At least that is what many of the tards on AR15.com seem to want.

As for 5k onto the cost of the car that I can see.

But to complain about a bigger radiator needing more radiator fluid? Seriously? Some serious cheapskate herpaderp.

But being from the country where milk comes in bags I suppose you guys have your priorities a bit backwards.

Meanwhile I can go out and completely destroy a set of rear tirss during a day and it is cheaper than what it costs me for an entire case of 1000 rounds of 5.56.

Some days I want the GT350 Track Pack spoiler...

Other days I am happy to have no spoiler. It bites.

I know for a fact I want the Helion Composites GT350 style hood when it comes out(crossing my fingers for summer and it is everything I hope it to be).

Hated my Perf Pack wheels and tires. Went to SVE GT350 clones. Saving stock wheels for winter tires this next Nov.

Oh, but also in Canada, it's a $5000 dollar upgrade. If it was $2500 like it was in the US, oh for sure I'd be all over it!!

$5k for PP? I got quoted $3000CDN in July. I passed.

Though I ended up getting the PP rims/tires barely used from another member. I wanted 3.55s. No plans on going to the track so driving around the street on base brakes, base rad, no gauges, k-brace or strut tower bar etc... works great for my lifestyle.

Hey man, I had a friend who, back in the day, bought a 340 Demon, but stayed with the standard 3-speed because, in his eyes, he'd be shifting less and not needing to replace the clutch as often.

Besides, the car stays perfectly cool with the standard radiator. My GT is one of - if not, the least optioned GT's out there. I had to custom order it as a base because no dealer had one on the lot. They were all Premium cars. I had no want nor need for any of the gingerbread these cars come with. Hell, if I could have deleted the power seats and backup camera - I would have! I have no need for that stuff.

When you're taxed 50% or more just to live, yes, you try to save a few dollars where you can. I still have a TV with a CRT and I don't own a cell phone either.

$4,800 for Perf Pack when I ordered in February of '16, and when they came available, would've been another $250 for the silver paint wheels.

I couldn't get a straight answer out of them in regards to wheels because the 18" Foundry wheels were an additional $1100 CDN, but across the line in WA State, they were only something like $200 US.

Again, I stuck with the standard wheels and will just get some PP silver wheels over the counter which are like $650 US shipped.

I love my 3.31 gears 'cuz when I'm out on the highway, loafing at 1,500 rpm, the big blue beast gets 28-30 mpg. Comfort, style, speed and economy? Yeah, I'm a happy fella. I'll do the Street Pack suspension upgrade eventually, just to tighten things up, but just the base car itself is a mighty fine automobile. Just like you, I have no need for the extra bric-a-brac.

I used to be one of the Miata tards over there.

As for the 5.56....I cast my own bullets and powder coat them. Essentially all I have to pay for is primers and powder. Cost maybe $5 for 100rds.

Now where you finding 2 tires for under $100?? :D

TruU....you must have been trying real hard to blow the tires away on your test drive (or it was cold or a terrible surface). My car, in stock form, had no problems hooking from a very slow roll in first. Quick slip of the clutch, WOT and it was away.

I have two dislikes with the PP: wheels and gears. The wheels have kind of grown in me. It man are they a PITA to clean. And clean them you will with all the brake dust. Secondly, the gears are too much. I had 3.55s in my '13 and loved them. The MT-82 is so tightly ratioed anyway that a 3.73 just makes it seem like a semi truck sometimes...always shifting.

Overall, it's absolutely worth it. Just know what your sacrificing from the beginning and you'll be good to go.

The only time I think that the PP wasn't worth the money would be if your plan was 100% drag racing oriented. You wouldn't want to pay for the the stock/heavy PP wheels, the extra weight of the brakes, bracing, etc. will slow you down and I don't think the Torsen is that big of a help in the 1/4 mile.

Otherwise...it's an incredible value, IMO. Personally, aside from Recaro seats, it's the only option box that I'm remotely interested in checknig. :D

Something does not sound right there. For a '17 on ford.ca it is $3700 - which is what I also paid for it on my '15.
