Hi all

Proud new owner in the U.K. of a ‘22 GT convertible auto.

I only intend to use the car for long crousing in Europe and fun blasts but no track or drag use. Spirited driving on nice country roads is the best part and I do push quite hard.

I have been wondering if I even need to upgrade any chassis or suspension parts with Steeda parts.

Watching the videos online it seems the stock set up leaves something to be desired and Steeda parts will be an improvement but what exactly would be useful for type of driving I’m intending to use the car for?

I don’t want to drop or firm up the suspension and don’t want to void any warranties.

thanks in advance!

Jacking rails and a g track subframe brace connector helped make my car a little tighter on the street.

Thanks. I’ve been told the jacking rails don’t add any rigidity so skipped them.

now adding;

1.00 555-4438 Steeda Mustang IRS Subframe Alignment
1.00 555-5731-RH Steeda S550 Mustang Strut Tower Bra
1.00 555-5536 Steeda Mustang Extreme G-Trac Brace
1.00 555-4437 Steeda Mustang IRS Subframe Bushing Su
1.00 4 WHEEL ALIGNMENT
2.50 INSTALLATION / LABOUR CHARGES

i think that should show some improvement for £1,000 all in.

Definitely subframe kit and strut tower brace if one didn't come with your car. Extreme GTrac was a very significant upgrade for my vert. Just be cautious as to ground clearance. I ended up changing to the 2 point brace for that reason. But in fairness my car was lowered an inch or so.

I would get Ford OE braces because they are crash tested guaranteed not to impale you if have a serious accident.

Ouch. Nice thought…. Does that mean Steeda parts aren’t a good idea?
i Did say I don’t want to invalidate the warranty but I also don’t want to die!

Look at Steeda's Ultimate handling kit. It has a couple of additional bits that together, really tighten up the rear. And no, Steeda parts will not kill you. 🙄 Just avoid crashing the car and you'll be just fine.

Yes I saw that. Steeda UK recommended the above parts instead as the ultimate kit has the two parts that make the suspension firmer so I’ll avoid for now. Just want less roll and straighter tracking but not firmer ride.

Just compare the two. One is stamped steel with deformation.provisions the other is a high strength steel rod that would easy puncture a floor pan, besides not being TUV or DOT and Off Road Use Only (racing)

Warranty is not an issue.

With 465+ HP rear wheel drive it's very easy to have serious accident.

Avoid crashing? lol it’s that easy huh? This of course complete negates any accidents that are not your fault…such as when someone rear-ends you. The OEM subframe brace is designed to crumple and allow the IRS to slide under the cab vs going through it.

Is that the underside or top of the cover?

Do those amp ends elevate the amps off the carpet at least 1/4 in? If not definitely want to do that so they get nice convection cooling.
