Strange...you ever see them closed? Like when they're supposed to be?

I've always wondered how effective they are recessed that far into the grill.
I've had the tune on my car since it had 200 miles and knew the shutters were never closed from the AP. I just copied the stock shutter setting back into the tune so we will see when they close. I removed them from the IC so it will only be on the upper grill.

Well, I'm resurrecting an old thread here, but I have a couple of questions... Whenever I check under the hood after driving the car, I'm amazed at how hot everything is- Are the shutters open or closed by default? I'm guessing open so the engine wouldn't overheat if they failed, but I'm thinking of just unplugging them and wondered if anyone had done that instead of removing them.

Yes you can do that as well and they will stay open by default.
