I couldn't fit in the Type R well so I have the second best thing, the 2.0 10-speed Accord. I haven't done anything to it but this engine is really something while tuned. It's my daily so I probably won't touch it. It's got a catch can, dry flow air filter, and a quick oil drain plug. That's about all it's going to get.
Well...? How does the 'ole Accord drive?

It's nice and comfy. Definitely a boat that doesn't handle like a Type R, but it definitely scoots when you need it to. Already seen people tuning this thing on Flex with 400 to the wheels. No idea how you'd ever get traction in something like that. The engine is already underrated from the factory since it's just a de-tuned Type R engine and some slight piston differences.

The HUD and all the features make it feel much more upscale like an Acura. I certainly enjoy it as a daily. Averages about 26-28 mpg in the city too while not in boost. Can't complain.

Well, I guess this thread is not actually a "Bon Voyage" . That said, the CTR is a very good car. Having a Focus RS, I am a fan of hot hatches and love both my Mustang and my Focus. Congrats on your purchase and enjoy it in good health.

Congrats. Best color on a Type R. I thought about one for a while, but I couldn't get past that giant wing. I looked into how to remove it, but you're left with big ass holes in the hatch. Oh well, bet it drives great.

Seen one around the north Austin area. Literally my Grabber Blue twin in Type R form.

I think my mustang is sportier. but if I had a fam, I could see myself rocking that seriously. 4 doors. good-looking ride imo. price, I just priced out 39k as build as I want it. id want it for 32k or so.

get a v7.5 GTI and slap a big-ass wing on it. Done. Cornflower Blue for the win. It's a crying shame about that 'R' wing not being trivially removable.

Maybe a smaller, less extreme (aftermarket) wing that uses the same mount points. I think the car needs a little something to break up the rear hump, otherwise it looks like a turtle.

Personally, I think the wing works great with the rest of the design, but I had a Supra with 3 foot tall carbon fiber wing ... :D
