Anyone else have this issue or notice it takes a few tries to get it in reverse?....

havent experienced this, although maybe southern california cold starts are not the same as east coast ones :->

i used to have a 1991 LX 5.0 and it would regularly grind if i went directly into reverse, so i developed a habit of putting the car into a fwd gear before going to reverse. i do that even now with my R.

Haven't had that problem but probably haven't had too may cold starts in sub-freezing weather. Gear changes can be a bit balky until driven a mile or so on a really cold day.

It is quite a bit easier if you engage the clutch for a few seconds before the shift.

You just have let go of the clutch, push it again, and try again. It will most likely go in ok...

Yea, that's what I had to keep doing. Was just curious if others have experienced this also. Thank's for all the replies.

Mine does it time to time. I just let go of the clutch and pres it again and works fine.

My last 5.0 did it also.

It's happened to me a handful of times in the 3.5 years I've owned my GT350. Not necessarily more often when it's cold vs. hot as far as I can tell.
