2018 m6 non pp, (3.55) gears. Current tires are 28.7 tall, which effectively puts any gearing down 1 size.

I have already done suspension upgrades, exhaust, rims and tires and I live in a emissions control area. I have no interest in ever going FI.

I am debating waiting for the ford performance 2018 power pack??? or swap to 4.09 gears. I don't see how the 18+ powerpack would deliver more gains than any other tuner, less probably for safety. To me, the gains are not sufficient enough to end my extended warranty for other tuners.

I am not an expert, but from researching I would say a tune would be your next best power gain, and if you can e85 for sure, for more low rpm power.

Nothing beats e85 tune bang for buck on the new gt but I think the op is trying to keep his warranty. So gears would probably be his better option. Personally, I love my e85r tune and would recommend that route all day long.

I would suggest a Lund Racing tune or PBD tune, the power gains from either are fantastic on an 18+. We will also be running a sale here in the next few weeks for a tune and device combo. Let me know if you would like to see what we can do for you. Lethalperformance.com

Why do you have nearly 29" tires? Are these drag racing slicks that need lots of sidewall?

Simply going down to some 26.7" tires will make a big difference in gearing and it won't look like you're driving around on truck tires.

315/35 I don't think they look like truck tires plus potholes

If you want to keep your extended warranty, the tuner is off the table.

I have both a tune and 4.10s in the rear. I know our cars are a little different, but 4.10s are fun man. In my opinion it balances out the car and negates the lack of low-end torque. For the love of all that is good, please get a PROFESSIONAL to do the gear install if you go that route. I've seen way too many people give a re-gear a try and mess up. If you do decide to give it a try, go slow and measure multiple times. Do your research and ask questions beforehand if you aren't sure. You'll need to know about backlash, pinion depth, bearing preloads, etc.

You have 2 overdrives. I'd go 4.09. But that's just me.

Youll need a tuner with the gears for the speedo to be correct. I think tune would have more of an effect too.

Gears are outside my skill. I've got a driveline shop who comes highly recommended from my mechanic friends. quoted me 650-800 if I supply the gears.

It auto corrects the spedo right?
Any competent shops has the proper scanner to change the gear ratio. Or do it from your handheld.

You can't change the speedo with a handheld tuner on S550's. Whipple flare tool is the only aftermarket system that can.
