I hit the limiter earlier in my 2018 auto in 6th I think at 125 mph and the highest RPM I logged was 7299.2.. Power was killed at that point and I hit a definite a limiter. Other logs of mine I have hit 7430+ rpm. Is the limiter different in each gear or different modes or what? Im kind of confused , could the torque apps log be wrong?

It might have been the transmission RPM limit. The factory calibration limits the 10R80 to 7400 RPM. I’ve triggered the trans RPM limiter on the 2-3 shift when the engine clutch disengaged and the car’s momentum pulled the transmission into mechanical over speed. I posted the log plot in this thread.

I don’t know if the Torque app does it; but, most tuner based data loggers will capture the active limiter.

I believe when going into 7th gear it will shift early. I've had two 18's now. 1st one had 3.15's and would do this. Second one now has 3.55's and does this as well.

I know the 7th gear clutches can not hold as much power as the ones before. A few cases of 800+whp 10r80 cars have slippage problems in 7th gear.

It is a mph limiter on stock tcu tune. Mine hit around 123 mph. Had it removed by my tuner. Lots of limiters/torque reduction hidden in both ecu/tcu code. ;).
