@Jstang23 , how do you like the pads so far?
I'm dropped the car off at my local race shop tonight actually! I will have the car back tomorrow and let y'all know! The rotors were on backorder so finding them proved to be slightly difficult🤣

@tosha here's the update!

The brakes are incredible!! The bite can be modulated quite well so daily driving the pad is no issue. There is some slight noise when coming to a slow stop, but absolutely no noise once your above 25 mph or so. The dust is pretty heavy, but not the worst I've seen!

The bite is quite a bit stronger than my previous pads which really helps give you some awesome confidence in the braking zones. I'll update again after my track day!

The only issue I'm having right now is I get a very slight clunk noise when I change directions and brake the first time. I'm betting its the pads moving slightly in the caliper. Anyone else have this issue?

Either way definitely a happy purchase!

Racing type pads are designed with extra caliper guide clearance so they don't jam in the caliper.

Ok gotcha! Makes a lot of sense! The pads are absolutely fantastic! I just a quick 55-10 stop on a back road and it nearly pulled my eyes out. Very happy!

I apply some high temp brake grease to the caliper guides and caliper pistons areas on pads when driving on street, and that helps mitigate the noises almost entirely. But then it gets baked and completely cooked after few track days, and then some cleaning and reapplying is necessary. Unless you want to commit to doing it regularly, I wouldn't recommend that.

Good stuff))))

Yeah the race shop purposely didn’t add any grease as it would cook and would need to be removed anyways. I’m definitely keeping my eyes on my rear view mirror!šŸ˜‚

I know it's way silly, but anyone try bacon grease to protect rim finish?
I’m not sure to be honest. But you can actually by a can of the ceramic coating and apply it to your wheels yourself. Wheels are very easy compared to the car!

Hmmm I’ve never had a brake pad start to squeal after a track day unless I glazed or overheated them. But maybe these pads are different, never run G-Loc before! I’ll hope they remain pretty quite!

All true! But in my opinion I can’t control anyone but myself on the road. I’d rather have the better brakes than anyone else on the road. People will hit me from behind even if I didn’t brake at all! The real problem is distracted drivers! And besides, I’ll still be out braked by a PorschešŸ˜‚
