G-loc answered - No springs/keepers is normal.

What springs do you mean? My g-locs came without any hardware, but for rear pads I kept the factory retainers where pads slide in. I did not re-use the plates though.

What springs do you mean? My g-locs came without any hardware, but for rear pads I kept the factory retainers where pads slide in. I did not re-use the plates though.
These guys. The factory retainers that hold the pads are still used.

😳 never seen them on my car in the first place
My stock pads had holes drilled into them, and the springs dropped into the holes (from the factory, as the car was brand new). I think it’s to help pull the pads away from the rotors so the pads don’t drag on the rotors when the brakes are not being used.

Understood, but my factory rear brakes never had any of this. Maybe Ford removed these springs at some point..
