I'm debating just buying the boost controller. I probably ill because I like the idea of being able to turn it down also. Installing it seems pretty straight forward too.
You can't really turn it down, only up. But that's why I run the smaller wg springs. I can cruise around at 6lbs or turn it up with the pushing a button. Plus if you set it right boost hits faster. The boost controller is great but getting the kit dialed in first might be the way to go with a used kit. Once it's set adding the boost controller is a piece of cake.

Hello fellow mustang people,

Some background info first. I have a 2016 mustang GT and had the rare opportunity to purchase a secondhand hellion sleeper turbo kit for pretty cheap. It has the standard 62 T4 turbo and 4 into 1 hellion headers.

I plan on just running the 9 PSI spring in the waste gate and target is 700-750RWHP, which after more research, seems pretty doable with this kit. I’ll be happy with those numbers for a streetcar. The turbo kit I have no issues with as I’m very mechanically inclined and can get that going no problem. I also wanted to add I called Hellion and they were amazing with support and sent instructions, checklists, and info to help me on my journey. So far they have really impressed me.

Where I need help is the fuel side. I’m totally lost with the fuel system and what I would need for this setup. I’ve done extensive research into it, and it seems everyone agrees (for the most part) on the Fore Innovations fuel system. Ok great. So, I head to their website, which was easy to understand but then I’m quickly lost again. There is a dual pump, triple pump, L1, L2, L3, L4….. To make matters worse there is multiple pumps available to choose from. I have no idea. I tried to research but it’s hard because everyone’s situation is different and unique to their setup and # number. I couldn’t find anything for my goals of 9 PSI on 62 mm and not even sure where that would net me RWHP wise. I would like to stay pump as E85 is a hassle to get here and a 45 min drive but I would also like to keep the option open for the future if I maybe wanted to mess around with it down the road. After further research I’m confident a dual pump setup would be ok for me but which one? L1 / L2 / L3 / L4? And what pumps?

The injectors were a little easier. I did a lot of research there and everyone (agrees for the most part) that the ID1050X’s are good go to for power adders. They also seem to be a plug and play upgrade with tuning of course.

Anyways, can someone with a bit more knowledge than me please help!! I plan on getting this remote tuned with Palm Beach Dyno as everyone I’ve talked to has recommended them.
I think PBD is getting ready to come out with a Fuel System. I believe they have fuel rails in the works.

9psi, 700whp on pump gas? If so all you need is a bap and injectors. No crazy fuel system unless you want to run E. I put 784 to the wheels on 10lbs with just a bap and dw95s.
This. Nothing further is needed. I even take a step back and say 38# injectors are all that’s needed for this boost level on gasoline.

Reading you post , we can recommend our KPM1000 HP as the perfect fuel system for your stated 750 rwhp on pump fuel set up.
The KPM Fuel system is a direct 20 min replacement. No hassle, No fuss, perfect OE manners.

The advantages over many of the other systems on the market -

  • Works perfectly with the OE FPCM meaning it will ramp up and down as power is needed due to being controlled by the factory computer.
  • Comes with a proper fuel bucket that incorporates 4 venturis - meaning you can run/ race the car perfectly down to a near empty fuel tank
  • Direct feed fuel system as per factory. No unnecessary return lines or clumsy add-ons.
  • Eliminates the stop gap solution of OVER-RUNNING the fuel pumps with a BAP.
  • Fuel keeps cool and dense making for most efficient power
  • No surge on long left hard corners or sweepers
  • Direct fit Add-On kits available for future power increases requiring a larger fuel system all the way up to 2700hp!
  • No extra tuning required . Fit and forget
    20 mins fitment time.
  • OE quality, performance and fitment.

All in stock and available from Beefcake Racing direct.

For what it's worth, my 2017 car with an out of the box Whipple gen5 3.0 stage 2 kit at 11# of boost made right on 700rwhp on the whipple tune. Only fuel system upgrade was the larger injectors that came with the kit. I think they were DW 72s.

No reason to overcomplicate this with running 93 fuel.

If you can resist the temptation of staying satisfied you are golden and a very smart man šŸ™Œ props to you. Never been in a whipple and bought my car with a procharger so my fun is on top and for a brief second or two šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø im sure that whipple is fun.
