Hello fellow mustang people,

Some background info first. I have a 2016 mustang GT and had the rare opportunity to purchase a secondhand hellion sleeper turbo kit for pretty cheap. It has the standard 62 T4 turbo and 4 into 1 hellion headers.

I plan on just running the 9 PSI spring in the waste gate and target is 700-750RWHP, which after more research, seems pretty doable with this kit. I’ll be happy with those numbers for a streetcar. The turbo kit I have no issues with as I’m very mechanically inclined and can get that going no problem. I also wanted to add I called Hellion and they were amazing with support and sent instructions, checklists, and info to help me on my journey. So far they have really impressed me.

Where I need help is the fuel side. I’m totally lost with the fuel system and what I would need for this setup. I’ve done extensive research into it, and it seems everyone agrees (for the most part) on the Fore Innovations fuel system. Ok great. So, I head to their website, which was easy to understand but then I’m quickly lost again. There is a dual pump, triple pump, L1, L2, L3, L4….. To make matters worse there is multiple pumps available to choose from. I have no idea. I tried to research but it’s hard because everyone’s situation is different and unique to their setup and # number. I couldn’t find anything for my goals of 9 PSI on 62 mm and not even sure where that would net me RWHP wise. I would like to stay pump as E85 is a hassle to get here and a 45 min drive but I would also like to keep the option open for the future if I maybe wanted to mess around with it down the road. After further research I’m confident a dual pump setup would be ok for me but which one? L1 / L2 / L3 / L4? And what pumps?

The injectors were a little easier. I did a lot of research there and everyone (agrees for the most part) that the ID1050X’s are good go to for power adders. They also seem to be a plug and play upgrade with tuning of course.

Anyways, can someone with a bit more knowledge than me please help!! I plan on getting this remote tuned with Palm Beach Dyno as everyone I’ve talked to has recommended them.

Are you in a hurry to install your turbo kit? If so, you might look for other fuel system options, as Fore has addressed the fact that they are behind on getting orders out.

I would talk with your tuner about your fuel needs. There are other options than Fore out there. Do a little research on this forum and you'll see how some people feel about Fore vs some other options as well.

Same on the tuning side. I had a PDB tune in the past. It was OK, but their communication was not that great. Lots of options in this area on the forum as well. I have a boosted setup with Wengerd and he had me dialed in on the first tune. And his customer service is top notch. He will answer your fuel questions even if you don't end up going with him.

I'm not in a rush as I want to take my time and make sure everything is done right. I'll probably start this at the end of the season so I have all winter to tinker with it.

We can help you get setup with a Fore kit. Yes we are aware they take some time but it is worth the wait as it is a great system. Plenty of options out there but we can help point you in the right direction for fueling needs ! feel free to give us a call or send me a message

I did the Juggernaut stage 3 kit with mine. Twin274 & same injectors. I haven't had any issues with mine in the 16 months its been on my car.

I’d talk to your tuner and also David @KPM Fuel Systems about one of their kits before you settle on a Fore system

I’m not sure Fore is the way to go, but if you do go thet route the guys at Beefcake have always been helpful.

9psi, 700whp on pump gas? If so all you need is a bap and injectors. No crazy fuel system unless you want to run E. I put 784 to the wheels on 10lbs with just a bap and dw95s.

I will say if you want to run it on spring pressure it might not make 9lbs even though hellion says it will. Mine made just a hair over 8 until I added the boost controller.

I'm debating just buying the boost controller. I probably ill because I like the idea of being able to turn it down also. Installing it seems pretty straight forward too.

Which boost controller?
Hellion has one they offer with their kits and I was just going to play it safe and use that one since the install is also in the turbo kit instructions too. Turbosmart e-boost2 I think? I know the gates and BOV are turbosmart as well

That’s the controller I have. Since you said you’re not in a hurry, Turbosmart will be releasing an all digital touch screen eboost3 in Feb. 2026. I wish I had known that before I bought my eboost2. The good news is, Turbosmart says the eboost3 will use the existing eboost2 wiring and vacuum connections for those who simply want to make the switch.

That is great to know!! I will definitely wait for it. I most likely won't be ready for tune until next season anyways. I really want to just take my time research a lot do it right from the get go. The cars not going anywhere and I plan on keeping it for a long time so.

Also I looked at the BAP to the response above but I don't like the idea of overvolting the stock pump. It just seems like a Band-Aid to me. I'm not knocking it I'm sure it's a great solution for a lot of people but that's just my 2 cents. I just rather run a system for the peace of mind and don't have to worry about it.

I have a JMS BAP with a DW400 pump on mine now (factory returnless). It doesn’t boost voltage full time like some BAPs.
