Hi Guys,

I need some feedback on how to proceed. I currently have a wastegated Paxton blower running 7 lbs on 91. I purchased a Fore L1 Dual Pump system (8/8) with dual Walbro 465s so I can go E85 - not yet installed. Thanks beefcake!

I also have in my possession, the Y block, Fore fuel rails with crossover as well as all the fittings to setup a L4 running dual feed lines into the rails and then to the FPR.

Given that I could either way, what would you guys recommend? Dead head at the rails or go full return? My immediate goal is to run E85 with the wastegate at maybe 10 to 12lbs. This has now become my weekend car so I'm open to any suggestions. I know that this question is usually replied with 'it doesn't matter' but I'm just looking for more pros/cons etc. Will heat be an issue etc?

Regards

I would set it up with rails in parallel if you have the parts. The car will have more potential and start better when hot. I built my own system around a fore hat. 10 AN feed to Y block, 8 an from y to each rail then ran outlet of each rail to the regulator. It is easier to do it right upfront.

Thanks for the shoutout!

Dead head would be fine for your setup. Dead head can handle 900whp or so.

Thanks for the replies. I'm leaning towards dead heading but still on the fence since I have all the parts.

if you have the parts, then go ahead and run through the rails then to the regulator, it's not that much more work

for the love of god, please tell me where you got the AOS that connects to your pcv like that. IDK who builds these.

I ran feed line to the Y block, fed each rail by a line paralleled and each rail into each side of regulator and single return line out the bottom to the tank.

You might has well do it right once and never have a worry.

I agree. You will end up doing it eventually and it will be more work and cost more later.

I went fore Level 2 with dual 465's. I ran mine in series passenger bank then driver bank then regulator. I have zero issues with hot starts at all. Fore indicated the difference between parallel and series is nearly non-existent at the power levels I anticipate having (currently 800 whp through an auto). I'm sure if I start pushing 1000+ hp then switching to parallel would be on my radar for the most consistent pressure across all 8, but currently and for the fore-seeable future my car is well fed and happy.

I thought about doing that but decided it was not much difference to just go all out and do it one. I still only have dual pumps which limits me. I also have a stock motor and 2200SL so my fuel system will surpass those items.

Thanks guys. I'm going parallel...only because I already have the parts to make it work. It will be overkill for my goals of 7-800hp but at least I'll have piece of mind. Now my only concern is heat due to running dual pumps.

A Hobbs switch will take care of that. One pump will run until boost, then the other will kick on.
