This is the current kit and how it is pictured on the Fuel It website. Wondering if i could reverse that so the 90 degree fitting with the white tabs could be at the firewall, and then maybe it wouldnt push it so far up towards the tower brace. Though then the extra length would be between there and the fuel rail connection.

It was a blue plastic fitting on the original kit. Its white now.

Im not sure why its not just 4 of the cam type connectors.

I dont see why not, all the fittings are for 3/8" line. Considering how far down the line on the firewall is, if you had the 90 right there, it may force a significant upward angle towards the sensor and fuel rail. When I had these installed, I had to bend the short section quite a bit to go underneath the strut brace and firewall brace. You can see it in my photos earlier in this thread

Yeah. Im trying to pick the lesser of 2 evils. I was wondering if i had all the straight sections of line, inline with each other, if it might make the bends like you had less severe.

You could certainly just make your own section of line too. I know it sucks buying more stuff to make it work considering the Fuel-it kit clearly isnt made for cars that have the firewall brace, but making your own AN lines is pretty easy.

I need to just go install it and see how it looks. Im not opposed to a little modification of the kit

The M1 doesn't need a kit, it only needs a flex fuel tune.

Depends on what you are trying to do. Im going to run a PCMtec user selectable ethanol tune. So I need to be able to tell the PCM what the E% is. I will run E April-Nov. then load a 91 tune and run 91E0 in the winter.

In addition to what Jjmoberg said, I use this kit so I don't have to test my fuel when I'm running my Lund E85R tune.

What tool did you use to remove the factory fuel line at the firewall? My old plastic slip over 3/8 fuel line deal isnt working..

I have tried my 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 inch size. That fitting isnt budging. Guess i will go get a metal set

Yeah the plastic ones suck. They generally cant press the metal tabs in the fitting hard enough. Spray a little bid of WD40 or similar lite weight oil on the part of your tool that goes into the fitting as well. It will help you push it up in there completely. Also, rotate the tool once it is in there a bit. You need to push up on the tool, and then push down on the line at first, then pull the line off

I got it installed and working. Definitely doesnt fit great. But the bends arent too bad. Would be perfect without the cowl brace. I just need to zip tie it and put a little soft spacer in there of some kind before i drive it.

Ordered a PCMtec tune from P1 this morning…

The only part of the Fuel-It kit I still use is the GM Flex Fuel Sensor and the bluetooth dongle. I have since adapted the setup to work on my return fuel system, with AN lines and the Aeromotive Sensor adapter.

However, the original Fuel-It kit worked just fine. I was initially concerned with the fairly aggressive bend in the fuel line coming off of the OEM hardline on the firewall, but it worked.
How did you make this kit work with return fuel system?

By using an adapter that allows for larger lines. This has a bypass in it that allows additional fuel to flow around the sensor so that the sensor itself is not a restriction

I have this installed between the drivers side rail, and the Pressure regulator. It could also be installed on your feed side, as it allows for -8 or -10 fittings.

I took this picture prior to installing my strut brace, but it fits with no interference.
