If you don't have your bat. relocated, there would you grab power from?
The FTB kit comes with a power wire with an inline fuse - you run through the passenger side firewall up to the 12v power lead in the engine bay fuse box. Email them for detailed install instructions - they'll happily provide so you know what you're getting yourself into.

Last night I said screw it and ordered the kit. I haven't had Diff heat issues in the past, but just switched to 285/35s all around and will be running the tracks this summer (I didn't last summer or the summer 2017).

If you have any install questions, don't hesitate to pm me for info. Also, like said above, the kit is designed with regards to the car battery being located in the stock area.

I ordered a Watson 4pt Bar this morning, I plan on doing both jobs at the same time since both require some of the same interior disassembly.

Did the FTB kit come with diff cover sealant? what did you use?

It did come with sealant but I used TA30 which is Ford spec. I just happened to have it from doing other supercharger installs.

I'm doing my install hopefully this weekend! I have the cooler and pump already mounted, just need to do the cover and wiring. Did you need any bolts etc that might be one time use that didn't come with the kit? Or all hardware that you removed you reused for the re installation of the rear diff itself?

The rear axle nuts are one-time use. Also the heads on the diff cover bolts are pretty fragile so I replaced them with some 12.9 grade M10 x 1.5 x 40mm bolts from McMaster Carr (part # 91502A227)

Did you have to get the axle nuts from a ford store or would a local parts store be able to get the correct ones?

You'd need to get those from Ford, these are pretty critical- you could apply red loctite to your old axle nuts and prob be OK but they're like $5, just grab a replacement

Thanks, just ordered the diff cover bolts and called my lcl dealer to get a couple of new axle nuts. I hate starting projects without 100% of everything I need ahead of time. Should probably pickup some grommets and wire loom for the wiring.

The differential bolts don't need to be replaced per the Ford service manual and I reused mine but there's nothing wrong with adding new ones. I will recommend getting a better EPL 16 socket than the one provided in the kit. The supplied one does not grab the diff bolts very well due to the angle of the biting.

This is also the perfect time to add any upgrades to the diff bushings, installing upgraded half shafts, driveshaft, adjustable camber arms, toe rods, etc. since everything is apart and out of the way. You may already have that stuff or not enough funds to do so much but it's just food for thought.

Already have all of that besides half shafts, but at N/A power level I'm not worried about them.
