What's wrong with fingernails? It's just karatin.

Is hydro-floric acid the same thing as hydrochloric acid and hydrogen peroxide? My handbook on what to do if you have a dead.body on your hands recommend either of the three. 😋😋

I dunno man i have PPF front end with ceramic coating and bugs still stick, requiring a chemical.

My wife's same, but iirc it WAS better after it was first installed than after a few years.
Mine has been on for about 5 years. Still solid.

Ok. I got it! I'm going to take it in and have it repainted. The whole front end!

Meguire's polishing compound, and a soft foam pad on an RO polisher. Even lovebugs come off. A thick coat of carnuba based wax helps immensly.
polishing your car every time you get bugs stuck on it is psycho shit

your clearcoat will thank you.
Exactly. All you need to do is spray with a good bug remover product at the beginning of your wash, LET IT SOAK, and wash it off. Some of you are trying to split the atom here lol.

As a preventive measure you can use something like "The Mask" from Wolf's Chemical. I use it on my cars when it's bug season and it helps a lot.

Having said that, the amount of time a bug can stay on the clearcoat depends on a lot of things, one of which is if the car sits in the sun.
If the car does not sit in the sun and is kept in a cool garage I never had any problems with bugs that sat there even for a few weeks. On any car.
Sure it's better to wash them early but if you don't have time just don't enter panic mode. Temperature, UV exposure, time and health of the paint all play a role.

If you use one of said products you can leave them also a month, and as long as the car doesn't see rain, you can pressure wash them away.
