Got an odd sound when I was rolling coming from my left rear. I figured it was a piston that was stuck and a pad may have been dragging. Popped the wheel off and immediately noticed that the brake line was rubbing up against the wheel/tire.

It's a GT350 with stock wheels and tires. I have a Steeda sway bar where the J&M stainless brake lines mount to. It wore through the clear plastic outer coating and started to dig into the braided stainless. Who knows if the tire or the line would have gone first.

Don't know if I could have wrapped/clocked the brake line differently so it didn't stick out so much? I was even thinking about swapping L and R brackets and running the line on the inside of the sway bar. Though I'm sure that'll lead to other issues. Anyone have a picture of what the stock set up looks like?

I zip tied mine back. Works fine. Before that they rubbed too.
That's a good idea. What did you zip tie them to?

I was thinking about swapping the R and L brackets and running them on the inside of the sway bar.

They're the stock 305/35-19 Michelins on the stock wheels.
I was prepared to tie mine back but I did not detect a clearance problem. I'm using J&M brake lines. I like the idea to swap L/R lines.

This is with 305/35 on 11's.

The factory anti roll bar angles the hose inward toward the center of the car and it appears the bar you are running makes the hose come straight up at a 90 degree angle.

Well, I went ahead and swapped the left and right sides and ran them on the inside of the sway bar. They're a little awkward. I'll check them again in a few hundred miles to see how they're holding up. I may have created other problems but but they definitely won't rub on the tires.

Thanks for the pic. I didn't like the way the brake lines were sitting on the inside of the sway bar so I repositioned them to to the outside. I ended up bending the mounting bracket to have them tilt inward away from the tire. We'll see if that works.
