Does anyone know the fitting size that is on the end of the hardline on the rear brakes? It screws into a block on the brake hose, clips into a bracket and then that hose goes to the caliper. I am trying to find the size of the nut that is on the actual hardline where the line is flared at. I'm trying to convert over to 3AN stuff.

You are aware that -3 JIC fittings and hose will not be DOT legal.

I would like to thank you for this. You have no idea how much this one spec just saved me hours of aggravation. I didn't have my thread pitch tool and someone at ford rolled the first thread then drove it home.

This split die works great for fixing the damaged end threads on the rear hard brake line fitting.

I would have killed for that. I had to very carefully start a die in a t handle and hold it perpendicular to the fitting while up in the rear arch. I used a 13mm wrench and fed a little of the brake flare through and into the die to hold it all square and get it started. Once the die got a bite it recut the rolled first thread. I bought the car used and despite the 1123243 point inspection. They missed where the factory lines had been rubbing.
