Ford already screwed up the mustang when they pulled the V6 just so the eco boost would sell they are going to F it up more with this crap mustang I do not understand why they would F with the only crown jewel they have its like when they wanted to have the Probe be the mustang and they got slapped real hard that mustang owners would not put up with it , If the Probe was so great where is it now ? the jerks at ford need another ass kicking to get them back in the right mind set for the mustang jerks

I like the environment too much to buy a vehicle with all that evil, poluting hybrid crap. Those batteries they put in modern hybrids and EVs are completely horrible for the environment.

Prius still has an IC engine/generator.....I heard on NPR yesterday that the green push in the EU is for all IC engines to be gone by 2040....100% alternative, non-combustible fuel (EV, Hydrogen, etc). However, they did not discuss anything regarding classic car collectors, etc. The EU embracing diesel far more than the US used to be considered "environmentally enlightened" by the EU. Now they say all the diesels are wreaking havoc......:headbonk:

What they plan on is a ban on sales of new combustion engined cars. Existing cars will still be allowed.

What??
The eco boost delivers more torque and more efficient than the V6. If you want the advantages of a naturally aspirated engine you still have the V8. It made sense to pull the V6

If all you're going to look at quasi-static torque measurements and EPA-optimized test results, I guess that's true. But that's kind of like having book learning and no experience to relate it to.

Everyday driving commonly finds operating conditions that don't match peak torque numbers or even published dyno torque curves, and everyday driving in a car like a Mustang tends to not match the tightly-defined speed profiles of the EPA drive cycles that the advertised mpg's are based on.

The Subie in my sig is a turbo-4, in part because everything else we looked at with comparable power was automatic-only (still a deal-breaker for us even in "family sedans"). Easier to live with the turbo - warts and all, but I'd have taken Subaru's H6 with MT (or a different sixxer/MT car entirely) in a heartbeat if that combination had been available in our price range.
