Most dealers do it for you as part of the purchase. My Sirus/XM was also activated without me having to provide any personal info or card number. It lasted the advertised 6 months.

You only get the points if you sign up for FordPass within 60 days of your cars purchase.

I thought the trial was 3 months?

My dealer asked me to verify my email for the purpose of the Ford app, a week before I flew up to get the car.

I have 84,000 points due to the GT500 purchase and my 2019 Ford Ranger. My local dealership says no to using points to purchase items. Only good for service at Quicklane, no accessories or parts.

I have since learned it is dependent on the dealership.

Wow, tough dealership.

This is what Ford has to say about it. Note the last two sentences.

The choice is yours as long as the dealership says so. LOL.

Very true. Sometimes it is good to have choices in dealerships. There are some I wouldn't let touch the car but hey if they allow the points to be used on parts or accessories....

The choice is yours as long as the dealership says so. LOL.

I never got the points when I purchased our 19 Ranger or the 20 Shelby. Another gimmick that I find to be less then impressive.

I got 42,000 point for the purchase of the car, then got 22,000 points for purchasing my ESP with my ford card, and some misc points, so for now I am at 72,000, Maybe in 10 years I'll be able to buy a car with my points :D

I thought the trial was 3 months?
Mine was 6 months too and if I paid $2.13 I could have it extend for another 3 months for a total of 9 months, which I did.

FYI...multiply your points by .005 to determine USD value.
Excellent program that can be used toward parts, service, new car purchase, or accessories.

Are they saying "no" because they aren't aware that the points can be used towards other Ford items as outlined above, which is directly from Ford - or are they just jackholes? If the latter, go to another Ford Dealership.

I just used my points towards the purchase of Nitto tires. Dealership gave me a military discount and that brought the price down to just a little cheaper than Discount Tire.

Just curious, how many points are Nitto 555RII?
