And honestly, if you thought this tune would make your car into a GT, you have other problems.... these cars are not GTs... not even close.
I did not expect GT numbers but I did expect to "bridge the gap". I'll take your advice and drive it and see what happens.

These Ford tunes are rarely worth the expense. I ran the Pro Cal on my GT and it was terrible...and it pinged. Ford called that "cat impingement," LOL. I know, you want to keep your warranty, and that is a valid basis for using this tune. However, don't expect good results.

It drives a heck of a lot better in "d" now... I don't feel the need to ride around in "s" or sport mode. For my auto, it smoothed it out considerably. In "d" it just pulls and pulls when you put the gas peddle down... like it should. The gears keep it in boost.... really smooth.

I will say this tune was worth the expense. Can you get better speed results from another tuner, for around the same price or much lower? Definitely.

For drive-ability and power, I think Ford did a good job on this tune.

I just got done installing the CAI and am not happy with fitment much. But as they say, mechanics are around to fix engineer's mistakes.

Am installing tune now... will see.

Just a reminder if you do it yourself, expect all the bells and whistles to happen. I've seen lights, icons and heard sounds I haven't seen or heard before. Don't let it freak you out.

My FP tune took a good day or so before it truly kicked in.
To me its night and day, the car runs super smooth up to red line with strong torque everywhere. It's almost to smooth, until you realize how fast your going.
It may not be a GT but with the Performance package and a much lighter front end plus the FP tune it may be more of a sports car then the GT, and that's not so bad.

I'll have to agree, not impressive at all at first, actually feels slower then it did. But to be honest, it got to feeling faster the more miles it had put on it in stock tune.

Now it does seem to shift firmer and maybe even a little smoother to redline. Will report back later. It is the wife's car, so may be be awhile before I get to drive it again.

Oh, forgot to mention, took all of 955 seconds for the Pro-Cal tool to do the job. That is reading stock tune, erasing stock and programming new tune.

If you have someone else install, get the key, module and cable back. Can adjust gear ratio later if need be, plus read and clear DTC codes. They need to let you register your email and a password they can use and you change later.

Well, if you want GT beating performance that is obtainable from other tuners. It is really not that hard to beat stock GTs with a mild bolt on EB. Straight line, of course. The EBM with PP is a superior handling car than a GT.

I agree. Stock or very mildly modded GT performance is easily attainable with a better tune and a couple of bolt ons. I think the FRPP tune will satisfy half of the people who purchased it and act like a gateway drug for the other half.

I didnt like the fit either. I bought a Airaid tube and customized it to fit.

Has anyone installed the kit on their own? Where does the foam seal go?
