The whole thing about registering on the Ford racing site, is there instructions on how to do so inside the box?

If not, can someone please explain.
The post is here:

http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1613604&postcount=371

I sent them my information... hopefully it is simple and I receive an email back stating they have the warranty info. I sent them the info in the post above along with my purchase, install, and payment receipts/paperwork (I scanned all that in anyway just in case I need it in the future. Hopefully I won't).

Perfect thank you. I had already saved your post from before since it was so helpful.

I thought I read where you need a login and password for something. That's what I was asking about.

Yes, it is a pain in the butt trying to search back through a thread for one thing.

You do need to create a username and password via a link on the sheet in the box, step 1. I put a paper over my code, although I don't think it is good any longer. My dealer created the username and password for me and said it would have been easier had I created. Although, they said someone created a username and password and downloaded the software and it took them hours to fix that issue, by contacting Ford Performance. So, you might want to create the username/password or ask your dealer, if they want you to do anything. They might want you to do nothing.

The instructions were in the box:

The rest of the boxed items are here:

I just realized I kept my old parts but did not ask to keep the box... crap... people love boxes when you resell items.

I posted earlier with it feeling laggy at 2500. The tune finally kicked in after a day of driving.

Definitely more power through the RPM as promised. From 2500-5000 sits you a little more firmly in your seat, and 5000 to red line actually pulls a bit (which in my opinion it didn't when stock).

I have a 6spd and my 0-60 went from 6.1 to 5.6 and I think I'll be able to get it lower. I'm still learning how to launch it with the additional power. The torque through 1st made it hard to keep straight on my first launch on a 1/8... It was a good time. lol I still went from 9.1 to 9.0 at the same 78 MPH on that run. I think I'll be able to get both lower, I just haven't found the RPM sweet spot yet. 60ft went down a from 1.7 to 1.6 too, but like I said I need to play with it a little more. I'll keep you guys updated!

Glad your numbers are there! Yes, launch is crucial. Strange thing is that I feel more power, but delivery is SO different while driving.

Last night I took a quick drive and the tune finally gave me a wide grin and out loud laugh when leaving the house.

I reset my mpg and I was surprised between the difference in "d" and "sport mode"... D seems to give higher numbers than before and "sport mode" seems to have taken a hit. I don't know for sure... not tracked my mpg in a long time to be honest.

Glad people are happy with this tune. I would be VERY curious to see graphs next to other canned tunes with the same or similar supporting mods.

Three 0-60 runs tonight...

Foot to floor.... 5.9

Launch at about 2/2.5k 5.7 (tire spin)

Launch at about 3k 5.6 (tire spin)

I stopped after that.... figured with a couple more runs I could get it at 5.5.... but figured what was the point. Don't think I could hit the 5.3 on the unleashed tune, but I'm okay with that.

I can tell you that it does not pull like an unleashed tune. Unleashed pushes you back.... FP tune is sorta like okay, I'm doing a 0-60... what fun (okay, not really). Unleashed feels like "hold on to something"... FP is like "when is this over".

Couple other thoughts:

The noises from the turbo is starting to get on my nerves already. Maybe I'll get used to it... all that hissing and shit... ummm... lol... and then there is like metal sound, which I think is the turbo. Not like metal on metal but like the turbo getting ready to spin up or something... and not metal, maybe just air. And my mufflers don't sound like they did before... can't really hear them.

And my mpg is definitely taking a hit when I have it in sport mode... did a 50 mile drive and don't remember ever 21 and 22 mpg. Maybe I need to drive more....

It is still smoother driving than before... although, more and more, my gears hang (staying in a lower gear) like they did before but it does not happen as much.

Also did some pulls on the hwy at various mph.... this tune is smooth, to the point that you don't realize you are moving as fast. I don't see how people are able to test all the way to red line... I can't afford the ticket for doing that. It steadily pulls from 55 all the way up to (under 100). On the stock tune, when you punched it, the car would sound like it was dying.... does not do that any more... you feel the power, it is moving.... it is fast and you don't know you are moving that quickly.

I merged onto the hwy and jumped in front of a car and punched it to the floor... not sure what I got up to, but I was surprised at how quickly I got there. I went past everyone.

My bottom line so far: I no longer have a "toy"... it is a smooth "car". Unleashed was a lot of fun. FP is not that... but you will move much faster than stock. FP is a nice tune.

60ft went down a from 1.7 to 1.6 too,
This is the Track Apps on the dash measuring this, correct? That is an insane number for it to spit out as most of the guys hitting that in a stick shift are in the 11's at least. General consensus is the faster you push the car with modifications, the less accurate it becomes.

Car definitely seems to be moving faster though!

Ended up doing okay last night. Only got 4 runs in with one of those being a hot lap. 1st pass was me driving teaching her about the track, 2nd run was with her driving and me in the car. 3rd and 4th were with her alone. Her final pass was the fastest since the car cooled down. Track conditions were subpar and we were only running on one lane since people were wrecking in the right lane.

Not too bad for a bone stock, base model, ecoboost mustang.

Tune and intake is being installed today and we will be back to the track in 2 weeks to compare.

Because all you are doing is setting a baseline with tune. After that, other factors start making the difference. Factors such as octane, ambient air temp, altitude and even the way you drive. That is why there are sensors to measure and analyze, most important is the O2 sensor.

If you've ever set up a new FI system or even reset an ECU, the idle can be erratic. That is the system learning to idle, so same goes for it learning to accelerate.

I didn't receive the instructions in my box, but you can download them at the FRPP website on the kits page.

Now, since I have an ASE ID, I'll just install myself.

Words cannot express my disappointment in this programmer. My times are slower and the car feels sluggish. One hour before install I had a 0-60 time with a passenger at 5.8 and post programmer was 6.2. 1/8 mile was 8/10 slower as were the 0-30 times. Called the vender I purchased it from and they said "Call Ford Performance, good luck". I'll call on Monday and see what they say. Certainly not happy. I'd love to hear what others think or experience. Now I really wish I bought the GT instead.

Go back and read my posts, a page back... it takes a while for the tune to set in... mine is finally there after over 100 miles on it. Much different car since I drove off the dealer lot Friday.

And honestly, if you thought this tune would make your car into a GT, you have other problems.... these cars are not GTs... not even close. If you want a LOT of power, near a GT, you need tune+/Unleashed/Lund or some other tuner and a big turbo.

This tune is to bridge the gap to mod while in warranty and being out of warranty (if you can't afford/don't want to afford an engine blow).

So far I like the tune...
