Previously, I owned a 2020 Mustang GT with active exhaust and had the Ford Performance X-pipe (M-5251-M8). Loved the sound. I just bought a 2023 GT with active exhaust. The Ford Performance web-site said the M-5251-M8 X-pipe was only valid for 2015 - 2021 model years. I just chatted with a sales guy on there and he said the X-pipe does not fit the 2022 - 2023 models:(
What have you guys used for an X or H pipe with model year 2022 and 2023 with active exhaust? Any problems or error codes?
Thanks!

I have the Steeda H pipe for my 2022 that I’ll be installing in the spring. To my knowledge, nothing changed from 2021 to 2022 as far as the resonator so the FP X pipe should work. Lots of folks run the Steeda X and H, so either one will work for you.

They just go by what the book says.

I also contacted Roush, and they said their X-pipe is only valid up to model year 2022. I'm wondering if anything has changed?

Sales people know sales that’s it and many of them are not car guys per-say.

We may not have had the opportunity to get a 2023 Mustang into our shop to confirm fitment - subtle changes take place that prevents us from labeling most things as 2023 - we want to ensure that no fitment issues arise as the model year changes.

Let me ask our internal team if we have or will have 2023 to test fit on.

Thank you,

TJ

@tj@steeda.

Send him an X pipe and let him test fit it. If it doesn't fit return his money.

I honestly don't see Ford changing the exhaust on the final model year.
Agreed, if nothing really changed from’18-‘22 it would make zero sense to change ‘23

On Steeda's website it shows the same part number from 15 to 22. 555-3618

I just see ‘18-’22. They have different part numbers for the ‘15-‘17. Design appears to be slightly different in the rear section
