Has anyone installed one of these? And downsides to running it on the street all the time (debris, dirt, rocks...)?

I feel a lot of heat coming through the shift boot, so I got to thinking about finding a way to keep the MT82 a little cooler and came across these online.

Bumping this older thread because I’m curious if anyone had attempted to install the FP MT82 trans scoop on a S550…. This similar designed scoop was first used and standard on the 2012 Boss 302 Laguna Secas….

I think if some heat shields were installed on the cats the heat soak issue would be eliminated.

I looked at this too. Doesn’t it have to be taken down to do an oil change? If so, that would be a PITA.

Ive never felt any heat from the boot on a couple MT82 Mustangs Ive owned. I did feel heat when I swapped to a TR6060 and lots of noise.
