I’ve done it on another vehicle and I had it placed in-front of the radiator. If your trans stock lines run into the radiator all you’ll need is to extend them have the inlet and outlet plugged on the radiator and you won’t need to run “new lines.”

Edit:The amount of trans fluid might need to go up to make sure that you don’t go low because of the size of the cooler just fyi.

I’m guessing by the name you are boosted? If so what system are you running?

Presumably you mean install a *bigger* trans cooler, as yours already comes with a dedicated cooler.

Mishimoto makes a nice cooler kit that bolts right on and hooks up to the OEM lines so a simple install.

Automatics already come with a separate cooler and lines, none of this trans cooler lines to radiator garbage that older cars have.

That is a nice piece and it worked well with my setup.

I ran the mishimoto trans cooler with the 6r80. Now have a th400 with Derale hyper-cool under the trunk floor.
Ok gotcha! I know a lot of the higher hp cars and obviously cars like yours that have switched to the th400 are running the remote system.

Could you post some pictures on how you ran the lines and have them hooked up?
I just installed my cooler tonight.

Not sure if you're done with your setup but this was how I did mine.
Derale 65860 cooler, Derale 16720 relay, American Volt inline thermostat switch, PBH trans cooler adapter, and 8AN lines and fittings as required.
Routed the trans lines beside the fuel lines, up over rear subframe, and out to the cooler.

Here's a schematic I drew up when making my initial plans and some pictures when done.

Awesome thanks!
What are your temps now with this trans cooler? I have been looking at installing one on my car this spring.
