Hello guys, I'm brand new here - the tech at Steeda recommended I ask you guys. My name is Finn and I'm 16. My Dad and I have been working on a restomod of a 1958 Ford F100. We built a 302 for it, and mated it to a 2016 MT82 transmission. We also built the chassis and used a 2016 mustang IRS. So, it's really like a mustang in a truck body. Anyway - we have a problem with the starter. The one we got from Napa - for a 2016 mustang - bolts up to the bellhousing perfectly. But the starter pinion is about 3/4" from the flywheel. The flywheel is the same diameter and tooth count as the coyote flywheel. We are confused! We cannot find an alternate starter - there seems only to be one for the 2011-2021 mustangs with the manual tranny. We can make an adapter to make this work, but it seems like there really should be something that bolts up. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!
