Wife is 10" shorter. Memory seats make it so much easier trying to have her learn how to drive stick. Stereo could def. be louder. Blindspot mirrors are awesome. You don't realize it until you drive in a car without them after you've gotten used to them. It's like you lost a little bit of your driving skill.

While the 401A sound system does sound better, I wish the sub had a little more punch to it.

I bought the 401A just for the Flat mirror(BLIS) I hated the look of the spot mirror, and HD radio.

Not worth it IMO. I was seriously considering it when I ordered mine but felt that what you were getting was not worth $1800. Plus without reverse sensors it gives you some more options on upgrading the rear valence if you care about that.

IMO, there are a lot of 401a's on dealer lots. And it is the first option the Ford build site puts in your face, daring you not to check that option.

It is the single most expensive option sold. Makes me think that it is the most profitable, too.

Sorry, SMH for 401a from me.

I test drove cars with both the base and upgraded stereos and they both lacked. The upgrade had marginally better bass. I skipped it since my ears could not really justify the upgrade, I didn't need BLIS or memory seats. And if you use your mirrors correctly, the little blind spot mirror is AWESOME.

I love the Shaker Pro system. I had a 2004 40th Anniv. that I drove for 8 years. It had a decent Mach siound system that started dying in the last 2 years I drove it. But even when ignoring the fact the system was dying...I'm so impressed at how amazing the Shaker pro system sounds. I spend a lot of time in my car so I didn't have a problem paying extra for the upgraded system personally.

Only part of it that interests me is the memory seat function. Wish that was a standalone option...

Have an audio shop line the inside of the enclosure with Dynamat or similar sound deadening product and then loosely fill it with 6oz of polyfill. It'll sound better ;)

I got 401A package and dont regret it one bit. 12 speaker with sub, blind spot assist, memory seats with easy entry/exit, and hd radio all for $1600 if you have xplan. I think the sound system is great and I dont know why people think it sucks.

reverse park assist isn't included in 401a

I found it to be quite opposite. it was a nightmare finding 401a as it was...even more of a nightmare finding 401a with premier trim. local dealers here hardly ever have 401a too.

I noticed that as well in this area...you had 400 with nothing or 401A fully loaded. Glad I specially ordered!

I don't recommend the 401a...I played with a 400a and 401a for 2 hours...it simply is not worth it. The sub just doesn't put out enough IMO. When I test drove them, the bliss was cool but you don't really notice a difference in driving. I personally think you are gonna burn your hard earned cash. Save your $$$ and get exhaust...you will love your car much more.

I'm quite happy with mine. At first I wasn't very impressed, but there are 3 equalizer settings you can adjust and after a little tinkering I'm pretty happy. I believe you have to turn the volume up a little bit to get the real impressive part of it. The bass/sub is enough to get my rear view mirror shaking.

I'm very happy with the BLIS and memory functions as well. BLIS mostly. The mirrors on these are pretty small so your field of view isn't very large and I get a little more peace of mind switching lanes and that light is off. Probably my favorite part of the entire package.

If you have the money to spend and you think you might regret not having BLIS or memory later check that box. Neither of those are going to easy, cheap, or even necessarily possible to retrofit later.
