Just wanted to say that I got the upgraded clamps that sabtaj1 mentioned, and i'm going on day 3 now and the pipes have not moved at all. So much better quality than what i took off, as you can see!

Hey, did you torque them to a certain spec,or just 'gorilla tight'?:D I think the spec is 35 ft/lbs for exhaust clamps.

How much louder is normal mode on the AE with the H-pipe?

I feel stock is already pretty loud at low rpms, particularly for city driving.

Has anyone felt it is too loud and gone back to stock resonator?

I drive in normal mode pretty much all the time. Would hate to put this on and have to start using quiet mode around town.
I keep mine in quiet start mode full time and have my mode set to quiet sport if I'm trying to lay low. I seem to get compliments on how deep it sounds without any complaints.

In a normal mode cold start the car can be heard from 2 or more blocks away.

Just a word of caution. After about a year, I got a noticeable exhaust rattle. After three times on jack stands and torquing every clamp nut twice and checking every hanger, I finally gave up. Took it to my Ford dealer today. Come to find out, the weld had come loose on one side of the Steeda emblem. I had them just cut it off. Charged me 1/2 hour labor. No more rattle!!!

I don't know if I just got a bad weld or what, but if you've installed the Steeda H-pipe and develop an exhaust rattle, check this first.

Anyone want to buy a $65 ornament? TJ?

I was worried about that plate not resisting twist, possibly leading to misaligned tips and fractured welds on the crossover :

I picked up a little torque gain below the curve from about 2000 - 3800 rpm. Steeda H-pipe with active exhaust sounds amazing.

Are these numbers for your Steeda H pipe compared to the stock suitcase or an x pipe?

I went the opposite way, lol. Kept the resonator, but went with Steeda axle back and it sounds pretty damn good. The volume is near stock when cruising but you can still hear it. But, it shines when you get on it and sounds like they should have from factory.
