I haven’t seen a FL-500-S in months. I see other Motorcraft filters, though.

I haven’t needed one yet, I assume the dealer is an option but have seen other threads that mentioned they’re experiencing a shortage too.

Are there better alternatives? What about NAPA/WIX? I know they’ve always been great quality. Does anyone run one (which, specifically?) or have another alternative for a high quality filter?

Thanks.

I buy them whenever I see them. Which isn’t often. Amazon does have a fleet pack for sale. 12 at a time should last awhile

I typically use Purolator (they make Motorcraft, IIRC) or Wix....

I just purchased a K and N oil filter on Amazon for my GT. I buy the high performance filter, which is white, and they are 14.99. I've used them on all my vehicles for 15 years or so, never have a problem that I have been aware of. I think they're worth the price, IMO.

I see two on my shelf as I type this. ;)

Purolator makes them anyways so you might try that brand Make sure but I think the P/N is L22500

I've been using the cheapest wix filters that they have at walmart.

Usually less than $10 and been using them since I've owned the car
