I think i found 3 of them an hour and a half away. But that works cause there is a restaurant there that my wife been wanting to try. He’s holding them for me till Monday. I also found a housing kit in stock so that should be 4 and enough for 2 years for me.

I agree about dealerships. I try to avoid going to them as best I can unless it’s out of my ability or expensive. I don’t use the free changes they give, for exactly the reasons you list. The ONLY reason I’ll go is if I absolutely can’t find a filter To keep my warranty. Then, the dealership can be responsible for my warranty problems due to inability to meet their requirements. Y’all right about FP. They’ve been a huge help with my project car and coyote crate motor/trans and control pack when it had trouble, but that was the tech side. Complaining to them only would make me feel better lol.
I am lucky- when I purchased my car in September I asked the dealer if he would throw a filter in and they did (made me feel better about the ADM ). I was at another dealer a few weeks later and thought to ask and low and behold they had one so I stocked up. Better to be lucky than good!

Really rolled over for an oil filter......?..... I will resist any statement with the word easy .

Hard to believe an oil filter could be scarce.

Even harder, Ford would be useing an oil filter that no other car on this planet would use.

Hell at this rate they could charge 500 bucks for the damn thing. And a whole lot of 350/500 drivers would be up shits creak.

How about a dedicated race team. How many filters would any care to guess they go thru in a season. (probably have remote or dry sump with remote) .

If it were me, would mount a remote filter that uses a common spin on.

This is the lamest thing I've read about Ford and the mustang, yet..

I still have 4 of them…..…having a race car has its perks…..you buy consumables in bulk…..like the 2087’s 😬

Ford Performance told me that any dealership can order them through the special service center. Said they are rationed parts since stock is low but they do have stock and will send them in reasonable numbers. Said any order entered through normal ordering system will get cancelled. So, use that info at your local dealership if it helps.

Supreme ford in Slidell Louisiana has 1 left as of this morning. Not sure if they’ll ship or not.

Traveling this week with the wife for some hiking and thanksgiving. Stopped at several Ford dealers and actually found one today at Bill Cole Ford in Ashland, KY. I think we stopped at 6 total dealerships. At least I have one for the 1,000 mile change

Are there any new updates on supply status for the FL 2087 and any one used the K&N Filter model PS-7037 in there 2020 GT500?

@The Chairman Did you report you used one of these on a 2020 GT500 in a post? and if yes then is PS-7037 the correct P/N?
I think that PS-7037 interchanges with Ford filter P/N FT4Z6731A ????
Not sure if it has the metal sleeve inside tho.

Would buying the Ford (KR3Z-6A832-A) Filter / Housing kit be easier to find than a filter on its own?

This is exactly what I did.

I can not speak to the K&N filter.

Good luck

Yes, I only use the HP-7037 or PS-7037. They appear to be the same to me:

Only difference I see is the HP version come with red “O” rings.

Do both of the K&N have the punched metal sleeve inside?
Thanx

Sam,

If you need me to ship anything to you, let me know.
Thanks Tom.
I have one new Motorcraft filter left in stock after an oil change 1000 miles ago.
I can get the K&N PS-7037 over here that "The Chairman" uses. Maybe by the time I use that spare then they will be back in stock in the US.
