Hello everyone, I live in France and drive a 2020 Shelby GT 500. I have very little information on the lack of the fl-2087 oil filter. Except that it costs more than a good restaurant on ebay...lol. What does it come from? covid crisis? or military conflict? replacing this filter with another brand is apparently dangerous! This is true?
thank you my brothers

Just part of the global supply chain shit show that is part of the global plague fallout. There is another post here recently with a dealership here in the US that has some in stock - dunno if they will ship internationally or not.
If they won't - feel free to DM me - I'm happy to have you ship one to me and then we can figure out how to FedEx it internationally to you.
If you do that - remember to oder the 2 o-rings as well...

Also - LOVE the EURO plate on the front - that's NICE!

thank you . I contacted him on the site, I will see the answer. Anyway, your answers touched my heart. this is where I see that passions can bring everyone together, even if there are more than 1000 kilometers. Thank you for your help

In USA you can put whatever Brand on that you want if it's specs for your model and year and warranty must be covered. Check France rules.

Shortages are due to various restrictions imposed and self imposed and we haven't seen anything yet it's just getting started.
Great advice from someone who has no idea what he's talking about (again).

There is no compatible FL2087 filter made.

Do not give bad advice.

good morning. for a recent gt500, the fl-2087 must be used. because it is metallically reinforced inside. the oil pressure is such that otherwise the filter is crushed. I have little information but that I understood.

I don't know if anyone has an aftermarket or a crossover ref for FL2087.

I was speaking specifically to the warranty question and I do know if Fram or whoever states their filter fits X model the warranty remains in N. America at least.
No. Again, don't give bad advice.

There is no replacement oil filter approved for our cars. Yes, there’re are a handful of manufacturers that make a filter that will FIT, but none are approved by Ford and none have the strength that the Ford filter has ( due to a tough inner metal mesh that prevents the filter from collapsing under the high pressure that these cars run.)

That’s one of those rumors that won’t die.
I use the K&N filter with zero issues.
