I recently had the pleasure of participating in the GT500 Track Attack, and will remember the excitement of my first track experience for the rest of my days.

I now wonder how others fared with the drag strip times as there’s been little talk about it as far as I can tell. With nothing to measure our follow the leader lap times against, no print out and given we were restricted for good reason, I thought it might be time for the rest of you to relive the excitement.

I’ll cut to the chase… The fastest ET SOLO 1/4 mile run at Charolette Motor Speedway hosted by Ford Performance GT500 Track Attack, wins a coveted FL-2087 oil filter! I will ship it at my expense to the winner as of end of day April 30th.

Rules?
1 - Must be a member of Mustang6g prior to this post.
2 - Must post a pic of solo 1/4 mile run slip from Charlotte Motor Speedway hosted by Ford Performance GT500 Track Attack.
3 - In the event of a ET 1/4 mile tie, higher MPH will be considered the winner. (I only got 1 spare filter. LOL)

Show us how you did, and good luck!

Here is my best Solo run to get it started! Hey, maybe I’m a better driver than the rest and will get to keep the filter… lol

Unfortunately, the drag strip was closed when I was there. Instead we simulated a drag run in a parking lot.

I easily had the slowest car they had to offer. Even when I cut the best light of the day I watched the guy in the other lane take me to Gapplebee's  It was also smeltering August hot, so I am sure that was a factor. I was happy to have the best R/T of the day.

Glad you had a blast, I sure did as well.

This was me in the left lane, trip #11

I didn't do much better than Jaime, Andy. My best was 12.4 with no tire prep or air pressure adjustment. Can't recall the RPM used for LC.

Mighty damn generous of you giving away a filter... HAND SALUTE! :-)

11.9 for me, I thought I had a faster run but I can’t find the time slip.

Nice pull Scott, but needs to be a solo effort to be eligible to win the filter.
Doesn't look like it mattered for Scott, but I don't understand this rule... We ran duals almost exclusively the entire event. Only rarely where people running solos, and it was at the very start of the event when the tires weren't even warm!

I understand the rule. There is no way to verify that the faster of the times on the time slip was really the person claiming the time. It’s no big deal. I just had a great time at the Track Attack.
