hey folks, i went back to my stock tune and intake. Still have kooks catted LTHs.

I have p0420 and 430 even after clearing they come back on after a few miles. Are these the front or rear sensors?

Will O2 spacers resolve this issue for an electronic inspection? i.e. not only will the codes clear but with the catalyst system show "ready"? or am i screwed. NY specifically

Rear sensors and spacers should resolve the issue.

Your cats are most likely toast. You can get a cheater to resolve or your tuner should be able to turn off the rear cats if you go back to a custom tune

If the cat is damaged and it’s getting p0430/420 codes then the worse thing you can do to resolve is tune out the code or install antifoulers/spacers.

Go to any auto parts store and buy either some spark plug defoulers or some O2 sensor spacers. I forget which part number you will need. There are like 3 different sizes (lengths) and I think it is the middle one that you need. Those will work perfectly. I have used them plenty of times.

all fixed after getting these. i appreciate everyones help and sorry for late reply. just bought a house this month and its been a trip.

hope this helps others pass their inspections
To note...using these nonfoulers/extenders are ONLY good if your inspection does NOT include a visual inspection. These will not pass a visual inspection if they are seen (at least not in many places).

I'm using stainless steel ones with mini cats built in with my Kook's green cats. Haven't thrown a CEL since my first one after the header install the next day. They work.

I think you should be good with just the kooks green cats on their own?

mad for visual inspection, that was never my issue. They couldn’t pass me simply because the codes, they didn’t care about headers/exhaust . Ymmv

Most aftermarket Hi-flow cats wont allow 02 monitors to complete, and will eventually trip the CEL.

What size mini cat did you need? I have the greens and recently threw a 430. I ran the same cats on my GT500 for years and never a light. Annoying!
