I think a piece of gravel or something got sucked up, and under the rotor while the wheel was spinning. There is about enough room between the rotor and the inside of the rim to slide in a credit card. Bums me out. I am thinking just pull it off and throw some paint on it. Being where it is nobody (but me) would ever know.

It's inside the rim. I noticed it when I was cleaning the rim. It is pretty much under the rotor.

I can top that but I'm not admitting to anything out of shame.

I wouldn't even bother. It's the inside of the rim and it is going to get a lot more scratches.

The part that irritated me was someone had obviously tried to cover it up as there was sharpie outlining the damage. It had been wiped off as I went to clean the wheel. Luckily the dealer ate it and sent me a new wheel. It's unfortunate for whoever didn't catch it at the dealer as it was likely done by the transporter. I keep it sharpied up and will have it repaired and keep the other as a spare.

I was transporting my wheels off the car in the back of a pickup. Had them tied down. Still, one of the f'rs broke free and fell visible side first onto a piece of metal, leaving a scrape on the outside of each PP wheel "spoke" about 5" straight across...

Prep it smooth and then get some aluminum primer and follow up with some black paint. At least it was the wheel and not the body.

Sorry to hear the bad news. Good luck
